I don't know if this is the place to post this request, but I've seen people post books in the forum as "links" that take you to the information page of the book here on PBS and I would love to learn how to do that.   I find it so covenient to just click on the Title/Link when someone posts or talks about a book that intrigues me.  Can someone to share their secret or post a "How To..." link with instructions somewhere on the web?    It would be much appreciated.   :-)

I am sure there are better ways but I type the name of the book and highlight it.  Open a second window and go to the book description page.  Copy the URL(leave off the http/ when you copy it)  go back to your post and click on the little world  with links through it button and paste the Url.  Click okay and you should have your link.

When you are typing in the 'post a reply' box (as I'm doing right now), there are some buttons right above the box that help you format. One of the buttons on the top row, next-to-last on the right, shows a globe with a bit of chain in front of it. That's the easiest way to post a link.

So you go to a page you want to link (I'm going to Interview with theVampire), copy the url into your clipboard, come back here, type "Interview with the Vampire", highlight it, click the 'link' button, and then paste in the url:

Interview with the Vampire.

To make the title or author show up as a blue link: do a search and bring up the book list, not the individual book listing.  Then highlight the title/right click and hit copy. Then paste into your post.

To just make the blue link-go to the book's description page, highlight the address, right click, copy and then paste into your post.

With Firefox I have to use Ctrl/C and Ctrl V sometimes but it'll prompt you do that if you need to.

I go to the book discription page and copy the name and author from there they paste it in this box if i'm only doing one.  If i want to do more than one I go to microsoft word and paste them there.  Once I have all of them that I want I copy them from word and paste them in here.  It works fine but your post is longer becuase the names of the books are larger.

I want to thank everyone for their input.  I tried the "globe/link" in the post reply and it worked perfectly.

Thanks again!
