Last night I finished The Kindness of Strangers by Katrina Kittle & I feel I need to tell everyone about this book.  :)  I just loved it.  It is about a serious issue and sometimes tough to read about (don't want to say too much & spoil it) but I thought Kittle did a great job with it.  There were secrets unfolding throughout the entire book which made it a page turner as I just had to find out more.  I had never heard of this book or author but I am so glad I have come across her.  I definitely look forward to reading more by Kittle.  She reminds me of Jodi Picoult in a way as she tackles such a serious topic but I think I may have liked this better than the few books I've read by Picoult.  I got my copy from the library but I did notice that there are paperback versions of The Kindness of Strangers in the system right now if you are interested.

Has anyone else read this book?  Did you like it or not...why?

I loved this book, too.  Even though the subject matter was disturbing the book wasn't graphic.  We read this one for book club and, if I remember correctly,  there was quite a bit of discussion.  Highly recommend it.

I wasn't going to order any more books that weren't on my wish list - but sigh - just ordered this one.

Thank you!  . . . . .  I think!

I'm glad you recommended this.  I have had this book on my bookshelf for about two years now.  Haven't read it yet, but I will be blowing the dust off of it.  I'm in a book club and it's my turn to pick one for the group.  I think this will be the one!  Thanks!

This was my favorite book of 2008 along with The Book Thief.  I loved it, although it WAS a tough subject matter.

Ok saw all the raves so I requested it too and read it in a couple of nights.  Yes it was kind of disturbing but  good read.  Kind of a tear jerker in a way.  But glad I read it.

I finished that book last year and loved it too!  While the book did have some tough subject matter the story was well written and the mother character was someone I felt I could relate to.  The story has some twists in it that I never saw coming - which is one thing I love when a book does that.

Awesome book - I agree, if you like Jodi Picoult's writing then you will like this one too.

Well, I ordered it.  I needed another book like I need a hole in my head.  But with all the raves, I couldn't pass it up.
