What are your favorite vampire books and why (super hot, super scary, etc.)?  I am looking for additions to my TBR list, and am wondering what everyones favorites are.

Here are some that I enjoy:

Lyndsay Sands Argeneau Vampire Series - humorous and a different take vampires (reason for being)

Christine Feehan Dark Carpathian Series - humor, drama & steamy hot

Maggie Shayne Wings in the Night/Twilight Series - good storyline

Katie MacAlister Dark Ones Series - humor, interesting storyline, connection with characters

J.R. Ward Black Dagger Brotherhood Series - great story, hot & steamy relationships, keeps me entertained

Happy reading...

Thanks for the rec's.  I should have listed the ones that I have, which are a mix of YA in with adult PNR.

BDB, J R Ward

Anita Blake (but gave up after about #16, not because of the content per se, but because she lost the kick ass quality of Anita), LK Hamilton

Sookie Stackhouse, Charlaine Harris

Night Huntress, Jeannine Frost

Vampire Academy, Richelle Mead

Cassie Palmer, Karen Chance

Sunshine, Robin McKinley

Mercy Thompson (but I don't think of this as strictly vampire)

Dresden series (again, not really vampire)

The Greyfriar, by the Griffith team (Susan?).  I can't wait for #2 to come out.  I also really like the Anna Strong series, but I'm blanking on the author.  Clearly a problem for me today.

Kresley Cole---Immortals After Dark series. HOT!!! Best vampire series I have read thus far. Katie MacAlister---Dark Ones series is a close second :)

If you are looking more for chic lit I would suggest MaryJancie Davidson----Queen Betsy series. I really enjoyed her books.

Some others would be Michelle Rowen---Immorality Bites series, Kimberly Raye----Dead End Dating series, Erin McCarthy---Vegas Vampire series.

I have Kathy Love----Young Brothers series on my TBR pile...and they look good as well :)

I have bunch more...some that have witches and vampires. PM if interested, and I give you some more :)

I am back to add:

Amanda Ashley - I read her vampire books as fillers, I am not anxiously awaiting when the next one comes out but feel they are good reads, keep me interested

Susan Sizemore (Prime Series) - I was impatiently waiting for the next one in this series to come out, very good

Kerrilyn Sparks (Love at Stake Series) - humor, good story

Laura Wright (Mark of the Vampire) - just finished the 2nd one in this series and enjoyed it very much, interesting take on vampires, some humor & action

"Queen of Shadows" by Dianne Sylvan is a MUST read!!!!!! I Loved this Book. I have already read it twice and am anxiously awaiting the sequel to come out in July.

Alexandra Ivy's "Guardians of Eternity" series are good too.

Lara Adrians" Midnight Breeds" Series are also good reads, It puts a diffrent twist on the vampire story.

The "Anna Strong" books are by Jeanine Stein.
