2nd Book in "The Cowboys" series by Leigh Greenwood. Good, typical western. Great continuity with characters from the first book, allowing you to follow the tales into this one.
Ward's past comes back when his wife of one day, Marina, comes into his life asking for a divorce so she can marry again. Little did Ward know, Marina only plans to marry to give their son a true father.

The freedom of the range, the bawling of the longhorns, the lonesome night watch beneath a vast, starry sky--they got into a man's blood until he knew there was nothing better than the life of a cowboy--except the love of a good woman.
