Futuristic/ dystopian fiction by Jordana Frankel. New York City is flooded. Buildings, skyscrapers are underwater. Ren Dane lives in Manhatten, which is now where the poor and sick live. Ren is a racer, trying to earn money to keep her foster sister alive. Aven has a sickness that is contagious.

As if she doesn't have enough to deal with, Ren is also a spy for the government, looking for sources of fresh water. Ren finds a proverbial goldmine. But, there are those who want it to stay hidden.

This is a pretty good book. Sometimes I wanted to smack Ren upside the head, but she is very likeable, feisty, and she never gives up. There will be a sequel, and I will definitely read it. Worth a credit.
