I have already posted this in CMT but will repeat it here:

Check your received books carefully. I thought I had and marked a book received a couple of days ago. Today I found that pages 167 through 174 are missing, clearly torn or cut out, but done well enough that it didn't show except upon arriving at that point in the book.

Having marked the book received I have no recourse now, but will certainly be more diligent in inspecting new arrivals in future.

It is ALWAYS wise to check a book over well before marking it received. You don't have to look at every page (unless a credit is really worth it), but you do want to fan through the page, look for stains, underlining, tears, watch the page numbers to see if there are any missing or you spot any repeating. Do a thorough check of books before sending or receiving.

I just discovered a WL book with ONE damaged page in the middle of book (looks like it had food on it and someone scrubbed with cleaner) so the page is "white' again but the paper is very rough and looks thicker than the rest of the page. So I'm thinking it's unpostable......ughhh

yep, I had checked it upon arrival like I always do, but since it was just one page, I missed it!
