This book contains a wealth of financial knowledge for the average working man/woman. Much of it seems like it should be common sense, but most of us don't recognize the simple mistakes that we make in our everyday financial planning.
A common sense guide for those lacking financial common sense. The book tells a story of three people who go to a barber for financial advice. They learn the ins and outs of wills, life insurance, retirement, home ownership, etc. For the most part, the chapters yield clear, consise information wrapped up in that story. The chapter on investments and income tax is the only exception. Still an excellent read for anyone trying to take charge of their financial life.
This was a great book with loads of good advice. Hopefully soon I will be able to start following it. I would advice this for anyone that wants to look into setting themselves up for success when they retire and not having to depend on a Social Security check. It was even written in a style that everyone can understand; not just accountants. A must read!!
