I am having my son & future brides wedding rehearsal dinner at my house in May. Simple cookout...nothing fancy. We are doing all the cooking. . We will be using christmas lights strung between trees but I need a little more...maybe candles on tables? anyone know where I can get cheap mini lanterns? You know the ones that hold tealights ect. Or any other ideas?

Do you have a Dollar Tree in your area?  Keep checking there, they usually have some neat summer stuff.  I've seen the little paper lanterns there in the past.

www.orientaltradingcompany.com has tons of inexpensive party supplies. If you order enough, you can get free shipping. Plus search the internet for a usable coupon code. They definitely have the mini lanterns.

* I did that link from memory. If it doesn't work, try www.orientaltrading.com.

lol  Heather...I've already hit Oriental Trading. I could not find the mini lanterns I wanted on their site. These use a small candle or tea light and sit on a table.  I bought most of my paper goods from them on clearance. register your email and they will send you a coupon.

I was actually looking for a different lighting option for you, but you may want to consider the paper lanterns here or the string lights from the same place.

I was looking for these or others like them to use where you might like a bit of color.  If you can find them, match the colors of the flowers to the color theme for the wedding.  I've also seen butterflies and other "pretty" bugs.

btw...anyone else doing a wedding thing and if you want to know how to print your own wrappers for small candy bars (instead of paying a fortune for them) let me know. I found instructions, printed my own labels & they look great! Now waiting for the after Easter candy sales to start.

My daughter is getting married in May also and I would really like to know how to print my own wrappers for the little candy bars. Thanks for sharing. Peggy

You might put a wanted post on freecycle and see if anyone in your area has what you are looking for.  Not sure what the main site url is but if you search freecycle you will find it.  On my freecycle people are always posting leftover party goods. Good luck with the party/wedding!!!!
