Great book! It is a compilation of low point, main dish recipes (the highest being 9, but most around 4-5 points). It has photos for every recipe and each recipe is on one page. There is a crock pot section and stir fry section as well. I think all types of cuisine are represented at least once, including vegetarian. (Though, most of them are more European/American type of beef and chicken recipes.) For having less than 200 pages, I think they did a very nice job of representing soups, salads, sandwiches and entree meals. At the end, they threw in 10 fifteen minute recipes. Lastly, nearly every page had a cooking "hint," whether it was substitutions, cooking methods, flavoring options, etc. Very nice.
I have 3 boys, two of which are picky (and a hubby who isn't that adventurous with food either) and easily found recipes in here that they would all enjoy.
The downside of this is that it is just the main dishes, but for me and the picky people in my family, that is the major component of the dinner battle anyway. There also wasn't a huge fish section other than salmon (which my hubby is allergic too...rats.), but it does have several shrimp/seafood recipes.
I also had the 2000 Annual Recipes for Success. I found I didn't use that one as much b/c it was harder to navigate and didn't have the photos.
Good luck! :)
