Abby's parents encourage her to apply to the SASS program after they discover she's dating an older boy. She resists at first, but eventually embraces the plan. I think I liked this book so much because it shows a girl that interacts with boys, but in the end, she realizes that she comes first. I think it's important for teen girls to read books with female protagonists that aren't solely focused on getting the boy. A good start to the series. I look forward to reading more of these!

She soon moves to England for the summer to gt rid of her overprotective parents and her cheating boyfriend, and wants to become a strawbery ice cream with sprinkles and syrup on top.
