This book is written by the Christian author Dr. George Vandeman, who is an Adventist minister and hosted the television series "It Is Written." The book is actually a by-product of that tv series, and attempts to explain why there are so many denominations and churches, and how they fit in with God's plan for reformation in the church. The author includes interviews with various church leaders that appeared on the tv show. The chapters of the book are: What I Like About the Lutherans, What I Like About the Baptists, What I Like About the Methodists, What I Like About the Charismatics, What I Like About the Catholics, What I Like About Our Jewish Friends, Why So Many Denominations? and What I Like About the Adventists. The book is a fairly short (only 108 pages) little paperback. I especially liked where the author included the historical background of the various denominations. I also liked the way the author was straight-forward and logicical in making his point. Though I did not love the book, I found it simple, informative and useful.

Christian TV Host DR George Vandeman is very open minded as he interviews top authorities of many religions and ask why they believe in their religion. I see a pattern as the pieces of these different religions come together I can see why we have religious freedom in America. Different people have different ideas of what is important to them in a religion. Which makes for our current day religious freedom.
