Sorry, I realize just posting that thread wasn't very nice.  I meant to say we'd had something like that before but got called away at work.

No offense intended.

My favorite is J.D Robb (Nora Roberts).  I would pick Naked in Death because that is how it all began.

Since the other thread is older I'll jump in here:

Favorite Romance Novel ever: Nicholas Spark's ""The Notebook." LOVE the book. LOVE LOVE LOVE the movie.

I tend to like humorous authors with quicky characters. Jennifer Crusie is probably my personal favorite because they are quick reads and I usually chuckle throughout them.

"Welcome to Temptation" and "Tell Me Lies" were great books.

My favorite author is Connie Brockway: witty dialouge, tension, lots of romance- you can't go wrong with one of her books.  Too bad she's gone contemporary :( which is not one of my favorite genre.

I don't know if I can pick a favorite romance author. There are a few that I just love!! LaVyrle Spencer, Eugenia Riley, Johanna Lindsey, Linda Lael Miller, Lynn Kurland, Jude Deveraux,.

They all write my favorite genre, time travel/paranormal romances. I can't get enough of them!!!

My favorite book would probably be My Heart Stood Still by Kurland.

Of course I don't mention Gabaldon because of the disagreement of if she the are indeed romance books. Those are my favorite books. They rank right up there with Sydney Sheldon (not romance). If Tomorrow comes is in my top 5 favorite books.
