I am looking for some more historical, regency, victorian, contemporary, & most especially erotica. Also, I love vampire romances that aren't like those of Nina Bangs; really loved Shannon Drake's vampire novels.   Please let me know what you consider good books and if you have any on your shelves.

Thanks, girls!

I like the Dark-Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon if you haven't tried them.  They're paranormal/vampire, hot, and grounded in the contemporary/real world.

Have you read the Black Dagger Brotherhood series by J.R. Ward?  They're amazing!

I just read Beyond Seduction by Emma Holly. I really liked the hero - Nic Craven. He is an eccentric and sexy artist, and is very passionate. The first time the h/h kiss....whew...Holly writes some steamy romance scenes.

ETA: I posted it on my bookshelf today if anyone wants it.

I agree with the fact the the Dark Hunters are VERY good.  I just finished you the first 11.  I am running a deal on all my romance 3 for 1.  There are some really good Rogues in there.  Check them out and pm with any questions on them.

I haven't read Nina Bangs so I don't know what you mean by "not like hers" but Lara Adrian's vampire series is really good.

What are Nina Bangs' like? I have one of hers and I'm curious to know what to expect. I usually like light/funny since I"m newish to this genre...or enough hot sex hee hee vs a bunch of blood and fighting and that sorta thing...

Nina Bangs just writes a little too much about the paranormal for me. I like the stories that are easier to catch on with some steamy sex scenes. Nina Bangs really does a great job on the sex though!

I really like Katie MacAlister's vampire books (actually I like all of her books), she also has a great series about dragons and the paranormal world.  She has a rather irreverent voice and makes me laugh, her books are well written and explain her paranormal world well.  Don't have her posted on my shelf, as her books are keepers for me :)
