I enjoy watching my wishlist numbers rise and fall. I understand many of the things that make the numbers go up and down. I move closer to the head of the line when someone ahead of me is offered a book, or when someone removes themselves from the queue. I go up when someone ahead of me has been offered a book and it doesn't arrive or is a RWAP.

What happens with holds? If someone ahead of me puts their account, or an individual wishlist book, on hold, I know that they retain their position in FIFO. But is that one of the things that makes my position change?  If two people ahead of me put their books on hold, do my wishlist numbers improve until they go off hold?

And what about the number of copies of a particular book available in the system, as seen in the Reminder list? I assume the number would have to fall for accounts on hold, because a book on hold isn't really available at all.

Thanks!

Yes. So if you're #3 in line and these two people put their account on hold, you go to #1. Assuming you don't get offered the book while these two people are on hold, you'll go back to #3 when they unhold their account.

Yes again...but where in the FIFO line the held books are would depend on the kind of hold. In the case of vacation hold, the person keeps his line in the FIFO line. In the case of individual hold, that's like removing a book from the shelf.
