My sons literti Died....files crupt!   So now I wondering how do you dispose of dead ereaders??  My Dead cell phones I take to Stalpes/Best Buy.   Is there a place for eReaders when they die?

I'd call Best Buy and see if they take them. I think I've seen where they do.

Have you tried to reboot the Literati? If there's nothing wrong with the machine, and it's just a corrupt file, then restarting it may fix it. If not, look for a firmware copy and see if you can re-copy the program files over the broken ones, or do an upgrade.

Yep Cindy I been trying all that for 7-10 days.  sigh   Been on MR asking no luck LOL  18 months use for a freebie not worth my headaches LOL   Sad part is no son has no ereader!

OMG that was TOOO FUNNY! 

I put it on Freecycle tho they messed up my wording grrr  some one wanted it!   So it gone!  So now I looking into the 4 inch smartphone as was suggested for him.   He wants it Activaed tho!  No way cant afford that!   I tried to talk him into the Sony T1 he said no cripe.

Goodwill has an electronics recycling program. Just donate the item clearly labeled that it is broken, so that they know it needs to be recycled rather than sold.

Not mine.  If its broke they dont want it.   They even stopped a yr ago taking working TVs!  & NO Computers!
