Having somewhat recently lost my son, I found this book to bring great comfort and thought about what happens when we die. A very satisfying read.

This was one of my favorite books EVER. I loved the descriptions of the afterlife. It was SO much better than the movie. I would highly recomment this book to anyone.

I struggled through reading this book. It's a short read but the main character is, to me very selfish and whiny. I felt like was reading the book equivalent of a restless child asking "Are we there yet?" I'm glad others found comfort in the story of Chris and Ann and of Summerland, but I was not impressed.

Heaven and hell as a state of mind? Totally works for me. While I thought the narrative part of the story stumbled a bit at the end, Matheson's principles contributed greatly to my ideals of what's next. Summerland.
