Sometimes you are in the mood for a western, Regency, Scottish, Pirate etc. and sometimes you are in the mood for a Desert Sheikh to tame the English Lass - you get my drift.  Anybody got any favorite Sheikh books? I could not think of a one.

The Sheik's Mistress by Brittany Young. It's only a Silhouette Special Edition, but the plot/plot twists were very good.

I can honestly say I've never had any desire to read a Sheik book.

Hmm, I've got one that's still on my keeper shelf after all these years.  It's Lord of the Desert by Barbara Faith: http://www.paperbackswap.com/book/details/9780373073610-Lord+Of+The+Desert+Silhouette+Intimate+Moments+No+361

I must have hundreds (just kidding) of them from Harlequin but haven't read any of them in about 20 years. I did read Silver Angel (I think that was the name of it) by Johanna Lindsey only 15 or so years ago and wasn't too keen on the whole Sheik idea. It seems that the thrill of the sheik died out with the classic 70's-80's Bodice Ripper type books. Many women are now looking towards a new generation of strong independent women instead of the poor pathetic virgins of yesteryear. Or maybe it is just me. I just didn't like the idea that a man could have more then one wife. And yet...he chose the innocent blond English woman who was either captured into slavery or sold by an unscrupulous father/brother.
