I checked and didn't see a newletter for Nov 2008, so what happened to my Bookshelf? It used to have both the books I had out there for request AND the books that I planned to put out for request as soon as I was done reading them or got them back from a friend or whatever. I've read that people didn't like this feature (you had to put a book on your bookshelf on hold if you didn't want it available for request) but I LOVED IT! I had no idea that people disliked it so much so that it was taken away as a feature. I was able to see what was up for grabs, what I had on hold for whatever reason, and if one of those on-hold books were Wish Listed or Auto Wish Listed by others -- all in one place. Now I am going to go to a bunch of different places to get that same information. I used that to determine what to read or what to post! I miss it and I sure hope it's coming back. Anyone got the scoop?

My bookshelf is still the same - posted books and books on hold. My guess is that you have your bookshelf sorted to "posted books." At the top of your bookshelf, there is a drop-down book labled "View". Change this to "All books." If that doesn't work, I don't know what to suggest! |

Thanks Kristina! It was set to view only the posted books. It must've done that when the number of book ratings showed up. I'm soooooo relieved.

This is on my bookshelf list of posted books. It is after the "star" rating and before the options list. Can not seem to figure what it represents. Thanks |

the blue number after the stars is the number of people that gave the book a rating |

Thanks for the info. It has probably been there all along, but I just noticed it and could not figure out what it was. |

No, that number (or question mark) is new. |

I hated being asked to rate all the Books I've Read ... some I don't even remember! I wouldn't have minded if they'd changed things "from now on" ... but having to go back & try to remember just how much I liked some of my oldest read books was ridiculous.
