I have a book on my Wish List and it was posted yesterday and I accepted the offer. It's a hardback. The poster PM'ed me and said the book she has is a paperback and asked if I still want it. I said no. Now should I cancel the order or should the poster cancel? If I cancel it, do I lose my spot in the wish list line?

Let the person who PMed you cancel. Don't cancel yourself. I wonder why it happens. Just post the correct book already!

Do not cancel. The sender posted the book incorrectly. She needs to cancel so she can then repost it properly (or if it's an ARC, offer it in the Book Bazaar).

Send her a PM and tell her that you do not want the paperback book, and that she needs to cancel this transaction.

Thanks for the feedback. I don't think there are many wishers on this book but still don't want to lost my place in line so I'll ask her to cancel.

Yes Rachel, since the poster has listed the wrong book it is their responsibility to cancel the transaction.  If you do so, your WL place would be lost.  And the book really does need canceled and posted correctly.  Technically, any receiver should RWAP a paperback posted to a hard cover PBS listing.

If the poster declines to remove her book, you can contact TPTB.
