It will roll over to the next wisher.

I always PM the person before I post directly to a WL in case:  they no longer want the book, don't have a credit for it, are on vacation and probably won't answer in time, etc.  Just makes it easier on me.  Pat

My idea was to make it a surprise.  But then I got to thinking to hard and the what if ???'s emerged.

So I guess I'll take your advise Pat.

Thanks

I always PM first to let them know and to also ask if they have any RCs. I'd hate to post a book and then have to decline because I can't meet the RCs.

I always PM first.  A surprise is nice but if this person has to carefully plan credits, posting without asking first might put them into a position of declining a WL book and losing their place in line because they further down the list on that one and didn't expect it for some time.  Or buying a credit or rushing to post a WL book to accept the books.  So unless you know this person has a nice stash of credits-then I'd PM first.
