What happens if someone orders a book from you, you print the postage/label, etc but haven't yet mailed the book. Is it possible for the person to cancel the order once the label has been printed? I haven't had this happen as a sender but I was wondering if it could happen, especially since if you use the printable postage and then the person cancels, you're out the money.

Barbara--

From the Help Center:

"A requestor can cancel a request by clicking "Cancel Order" up until the time the sender accesses the address information (= prints the wrapper)

  • The request is not submitted to the sender for 1 hr after it is made; this allows for cancellation if you requested the wrong book or change your mind.
  • The sender can cancel up until the book has been marked mailed; after the book has been marked mailed, the sender will need to contact us to ask us to cancel if this is necessary."

Cheers,

Catt

If a cancellation happens after you print the label and apply postage you need to contact PBS asap and get them to fix it for you.  It's not supposed to happen but I've seen people post on here that it has before although I think it's rare.  It's never happened to me and I've mailed out over 200 books

The requestor can request that the sender cancel the swap even after the label has been printed through a PM, at that point it is up to the sender if they are willing to cancel the transaction.  Now if I've printed postage I would request that they refund that with a credit or I would send the book anyway.

After the address has been printed, the "Cancel Order" button no longer functions for that particular transaction.
