Very good book for the scientifically minded - wonderful NDE stories as well as a very comprehensive and intelligent discussion of all of the different viewpoints and explanations for this phenomenon from scientific to mystical. The author treats the subject with wonder as well as a healthy dose of rational thought.

This is a very good book review for nurses and may be too technical for the lay person. It was a good review of the neuro system. Raymond Moody covered some of the same material.I enjoyed reading the experiences the patients had.
