I don't know about the ignoring yourself question.  I know from other boards that there are people who really get on my nerves and having an "ignore" feature helps a lot.  There aren't many of those people - but there are some!

I think Marla Maye (or maybe it was Dartha...I forget) tried it when it first came out, and it created a hole in the space-time continuum, then brought the site to a grinding halt.

Or something like that. ;)

I on another board where this feature is of great value to me. I can not express the peace I got when I was able to skip past someones many many posts. Seems the most annoying ones there, post, a lot and seem to just want to pee in other peoples cheerios are just are down right mean hearted. I really do not feel the need to see what they are posting, I know their true colors, and life is too short to send energy in that direction. -shrug-

I never thought I would be one to ever use it. I trust people from moment one, and I get hurt, and I forgive, and the cycle goes around. Finally I learned. Some people trully are just not worthy of my time. That might sound like a heck of a lot of ego, but really, it is self protection.

As for this topic, if only in real life I could ignore myself on my grumpy days! hehehe

Some days it'd be a pleasure for me to ignore myself!  ROFL   And yes, I tried it long ago.

Does it count if I'm ignoring the voices in my head?

Greg, while you're ignoring yourself, clean your oven.

Man, I was all set with my snarky response to JM, which was simply "JM: glad to see nothing serious happened." but written backwards. the PBS functions won't recognize this font, so it's normal. that's what i get for somebody else's trouble. Sheesh. Well, thanks anyway.
