Oy, just got finished with the plant trade, and I've got oodles of stuff. Today I planted some wine cups (Callirhoe involucrata), and I think I'm going to end up having to start digging out a new bed tomorrow!

To early in the season for us folks in PA, but we are counting the days.

We spent the day planting a River Birch tree, a  Red Japanese Maple, a small evergreen, barberry bushes, holly bushes, some lobelia and hydrangeas!    Our house is finally starting to take shape :)

I planted Polar Giant White conflowers, lavendar, african daisies, penta, petunias, verbena, dianthus, hostas, 5 kinds of daylilies, dragonflowers, foamflowers, liatris, and a rosemary in the flowerbeds since the beginning of April.

I also planted heirloom golden zucchini, heirloom bell peppers, and heirloom marigolds.

My iris are amazing this year.  I have one that is peach with an orange beard, and smells just like a citrus-y peach!  The lilies I planted last year are all up and some getting ready to bloom, and I will need to divide them this fall, they made babies.  One red rose and one white are blooming, the pinks have set buds.  The amarylis are putting on a show.

This year I am a mulching fiend.  More mulching will be taking place later today!
