I have got to start posiing again!  I've been MIA for several weeks now, but I am reading!!!

Went to a UBS yesterday and found a copy of At Last (Lucky Harbor) not knowing it was Book 5 and started it.  I am hoping one you nice ladies can tell me it's okay to read out of order, 'cuz now I'm hooked and want to start with Book 1.  Unfortunately it is not a postable book (I found some mystery stains in the pages and although it does not detract from the words printed, it doesn't meet posting guidelines) so if anyone wants it I won't be able to pass it along.  sad

Lesley I'm sorry you were also in the pool for not liking Crystal Cove.

I finished To Sir Phillip With Love by Julia Quinn.  It was ok, not my favorite of the series. NO idea what's next.  Have you seen the list of books coming out tomorrow?  Nalini Singh, Patty Briggs, JC Daniels, Jennifer Ashley....I can't wait.

I finished Seduction and Snacks by Tara Sivec. LOTS of pretty juvenile humor, but a couple spots did have me laughing so hard I couldnt stop. blush

Now reading a NA romance, The Perfect Game by J. Sterling.

Diana, you can read the Lucky Harbor series out of order, but you will see the characters from earlier books as couples in the later ones.  I don't think it gives anything away to know they got their HEA, though.

I got Crystal Cove when it was a freebie, but I haven't read the one before it yet, so I've been holding off.  Do I need to, or are they fine to read out of order?

I'm reading Evangeline Anderson's The Assignment, it's a M/M, and so far, pretty good.

Thanks Renee!  I just finished it and now I am looking forward to getting book one and starting over.  The book kept making references to a small fire regarding a chocolate cake, so I am sure that is in an earlier book.

As for Crystal Cove, I wouldn't recommend reading out of order.  I haven't read Crystal Cove yet (I'm #14 in line at the library so I should get it by Spring Break) but from what I remember in the series, it does make references to prior books qutie a bit.

I think it would be okay to read Crystal Cove out of order, it doesn't seem as connected to the series as the other books, unless I'm forgetting something. You wouldn't want to read Rainshadow Road and Dream Lake out of order.

has anyone gotten to kristen ashley's rock chick regret? I think it's the last one and I read some reviews that made me not like it - about Lee's group refusing to protect the heroine and the hero staying otu and something bad happening to her as a resul t- back story I think -but dunno 'bout that one. I'm still finishing up the 3rd book though and I think that's book 7 so still have  ways to go! liking Hank's story a lot in spite of the heroine bugging me here and there! it's been really funny! :-)

Regret is the next to last one (the last, Allie and Ren's story, hasn't been published yet, and I'm salivating for it!). And yes, some bad things happen in Regret, and the backstory does explain it. Stick with it — KA and her Hispanic Hottie will lead you through it and it's totally worth it. :)

I finished Creed yesterday. Definitely liked it better than Knight. I loved Creed, and even though I was afraid at first that Sylvie was going to be a little too badass for me (KA was correct in the forward, she acts just like any of KA's heroes in other books) she was still extremely likeable.

Moving on with some swap reading, I started the first book in Lacey Alexander's H.O.T. Cops series. Pretty meh so far.

I finished Fight for Flight and enjoyed it even if the situation was somewhat unbelievable. I've moved on to KA's Raid. I just started but so far it's adorable.

RC Regret was one of my favorite Rock Chick books.  Yes, some very bad things happen to the h at the beginning of the book, but it was handled very well (IMO) and Hector and Sadie do make it very worth it.

Has anyone else read KA's Burg series.  Those were some of my favorites from her as well.

I'm reading Creed, too Gina.  I really wasn't too keen on Sylvie, but she's growing on me.  Of course, for me, it's all about the guy anyway, and Creed is yummy!  LOL

Susanna - I haven't gotten to #4 on Rock Chicks yet, so I have a ways to go, too.  I stopped reading those in hopes of pacing myself on them until Ally's book comes out.

I haven't read The Burg series Renee.... on the TBR for sure!

After I finish Creed I need to read a few review books, so I may have to take a forced Kristen Ashley break.  Boo!!

I know Sherri...A new Mercy can't wait!!! We also have a Molly Harper coming out.

Been reading alot, just not posting. Read A Bride by Moonlight by Liz Carlyle, Napier Royden's book...love Mr. Tall, Dark and Deep...knew that his book was going to be good. His sentimentalness? was a sweet bonus addition to the story. There was no woo-woo going on in this book, just straight historical romance. Can't wait for Quartermain's book whom I believe is next. I also finished Madeline Hunter's The Conquest of Lady Cassandra...and liked it alot better than the first book in the series. Didn't like Ambury at times and what is with this series and bad brothers??? the mystery piece was good. Read NTM author's Jennifer McQuiston's debut book What Happens in Scotland and it was suspend all belief rolicking good time. As the lady wakes up not remembering marrying the big strapping Scot sleeping beside her. For James part he remembers just fine, until she hits him in the head with a chamber pot and he has amnesia for a time. It all happens in a 24 timeframe so the ILY's come quickly. I am going to be on the lookout for her next one. I also read Kristan Higgan's The Best Man and it was typical odd date good fun. Her usual chiclit feel with some romance. I wanted to kick the heroine for how long she held out for our chief of police hero...i would have been all over that big bad boy. One thing I did appreciate is we had no naming of our lady parts this time.  :-)

I finished Evangeline Anderson's The Assignment.  Not really sure how I feel about the whole "gay for you" story.  It was a pretty good book, but that always bothers me.

Michelle - you can't stop after Creed, Raid is awesome!  And it's short (200 pages on my Nook), so it takes almost no time to finish.

I need to pick something short and quick for tonight since I'm picking up Frost Burned first thing tomorrow morning, and I won't wait to start it.

I'm reading an anthology of sorts (I know, I know - why do I torture myself?) called Jewels of Historical Romance and I have to say, so far I am not impressed by it.

I loved Raid! My only complaint was that it was too short.

thanks Gina - I've just now started book 4 with Jules and Vance - she's another toughie so haven't gotten into it yet (just barely started though) not sure if I'll continu with it or switch and read Raid since it's shorter...or take a KA break and read something else then come back to these 2...life is full of decisions!

well it looks like I'm continuing with the rock chicks! does anyone know if darius and marcus end up 'ok'? I like both these characters -esp Marcus for some reason- and Daisy - but they're in the drug business which makes them 'bad guys' I guess though Knight wasn't any better LOL!

eta: has anyone read Kristen Proby? one of her books popped up on amazon when I was looking up kristen ashley- she has a with me in seattle series that has mixed reviews on the first book but the latest one seems to have more higher star ratings.

Susanna, keep reading, Darius goes straight and I hope he gets his own book!  KA has said she may write Marcus & Daisy's story at some point, which I would LOVE to read.  I have to admit, though, that I was not a big fan of Marcus in his part in Raid.
