gosh where is everyone today?!

almost done with Rode Hard and Put Up Wet by Lorelei James..HOT! think I've found my alpha guys and only had to keep track of 2 guys in this one - well at a time - seems like the first one I read a few years ago and there were 4 of 'em with the woman..not liking Carter though - he's screwed up royally a few times and Idon't like his temper or self -centeredness - makes a pretty apology over stuff he shouldn't be screwing up to begin with.

I read KA's Law Man over the weekend. I read a lot of reviews where people didn't like Brock. I really don't see why, I totally did. I thought he was awesome. I also remember someone saying that there was too much 'flash backing' in the book. Again, I didn't see that at all. Just goes to show, I guess, that you can't always go by reviews. I've got the first Midnight Breeds book by Laura Adrian on loan from my elibrary, so that's up next.

Finished Carnal Desires In Heat/ InSmoke/ in Mist by Crystal Jordan and it ended up being really good. The cover is somewhat deceiving though, they are shapeshifters but not just tigers and it's on alien planets. Good world buiding.

Also finished Running Wild by Sarah McCarty, it was also about shapeshifters and was good.

Now reading Assasin's Honor by Monica Burns, it's ok so far.

I'm still on Drink Deep (Chicagoland Vampires #5) and I'm having a hard time with it.  Up until now, I've flown through the books, but this one seems much more convoluted and I REALLY miss Ethan.

I finished a Cherise Sinclair, too — My Liege of Dark Haven. It started off super slow, but the last half of the book was really, really good (if predictable at times). Xavier was totally sigh-worthy.

I'm going to get started on some of my Passionate Plume entries now...first up is Passion Pill by Kelli Scott. I received several of her short stories to judge.

Yellowstone Heart Song by Peggy Henderson was surprisingly good for an amazon freebie.  4 stars.

Not sure what's up next. I don't really want to start a new series so I'm looking through my books for one offs and the like.

I read KA's Law Man over the weekend.  My bad - it was Wild Man. He was a cop, I got confused. blushLaw Man is next in the series.
I'm reading Warrior's Cross by Abigail Roux and Madeleine Urban. And Kiss of Crimson by Lara Adrian. Too early in either to say how I feel about them though.

Right now I'm reading Breathe Into Me by Amanda Stone, or at least I'm trying to. I'm not one of those who gets too bent out shape over a few editorial mistakes, especially if the story is good. However, there are just too many to be forgiven so I think it will be a dnf.

I think I'll start the new New Species book Moon after I get the kids to bed.

I have to catch up on some review books....

Read Smolder by Graylin Fox.  It was just ok.

Now I'm reading Kane's Bounty by A.S. Fenichel.  It's much better, but I'm not far in.

reading Cowgirl Up and Ride by Lorelei James. whew! I tink I need an erotic romance breather - too many back to back.

have 2 more night shifts - went to a boardgame meetup tonight and played4 games that were fun. still dealing with my lab - it's so up and down - the new meds were awesome til I had to taper her off after 5 days and it's nearly time to taper her off yet again. I rank this rightup there with losing my parents. I love this dog and I've been having dead parent dreams ever since she started going downhill a few weeks ago. tryig to read and keep my mind occupied but it doesn't always work. maybe I should switch from erotic stuff to humor :-)

Susanna, I'm sorry to hear about what you're going through with your pup. I have a lab who is having balance issues now and the vet isn't sure what's going on with her. I was hoping it was just an ear infection or something like that but she said it's probably something more serious. The only way we would be able to find out is if we had an MRI done on her. They are speculating that it's either a brain tumor or cancer. We are just watching to see if it gets worse right now. Since she is about twelve years old (she's a rescue, not sure of her age), I'm pretty sure we wouldn't put her through surgery even if it was an option.

Just finished Assassin's Honor by Monica Burns and it was just ok. I have the second book in the series so that may be next although I did just get Moon by Laurannn Dohner that I'm dying to read.

I did end up finishing Breathe Into Me and I thought it was stupid. I really don't know why I read amazon reviews. I dnf the second in the Devoted series, Where the Ivy Grows because I do not like the heroine. She annoys me. I'm also trying to read Translation of Love, but again, the heroine is extremely annoying. My book choices lately have really sucked.

Thank goodness for Laurann Dohner's Moon. I just started it and so far so good.

Took a break from the short stories to pick up a Catherine Anderson, who I've been having a hankering for. Always in My Heart — I'm totally into it.

Ended up reading Jane and the Sneaky Dom which was really good. Had lots of LOL moments.

Not sure what will be next. I'm trying to read mostly paperback books so that I can post them.

Fever Cure by Phillipa Ashley was really good.  If you like British contemp romance, this is a good one to read.

I finished Moon and I liked it. For some reason though, I thought he was a primate. I think I was confusing him with someone else.

I've started Twice Tempted and I'm really enjoying it. I really like Leila.

thanks Cyndi - sorry about your dog too. both my dogs are 12 now - sasha the shepherd is having hip issues but she's still up and moving - when she goes down I'll know since she's a really tough dog. I need to talk to the vet again because I don't want to cut back on hers any more I want to increase back to the other dose or try something else

Gina I think I have liege of dark haven - haven't read it yet still have 2 more of the shadowland books to read - I liked the 3rd and 4th pretty much but didn't like Nolan from book 3 in book 4 at first and still do not like Dan at all - feel sorry for his woman. sad still reading cowgirl up and ride - HOT! should have just picked these up instead of sinclair's - this dominant stuff is more tolerable and more in my comfy zone than sinclair's stuff

Well I had my first knee surgery last night. Now I'm stuck in bed today so hopefully I'll be finishing Beautifully Damaged by L.A. Fiore. I'm liking it, the past few days have just been sucky and I wasn't in a reading mood.

Finally on to House Rules (Chicagoland Vampires #7).  I need to get this done and get myself a HEA fix, this yo-yo relationship is killing me!

I've got Fever by Maya Banks on deck after this.

ETA:  Missy, I hope your surgery went well and recuperation is quick!

*First* surgery, that sounds bad! Hope they all go well.

I'm finishing up The Borrower, which I loved at the beginning but got kind of tired of. I have How to Repair a Mechanical Heart borrowed so will start that, unless it turns out to be too naughty for the gym. ;-) I think it's YA-ish though, so hopefully not.
