Last night I finished up Heart of Obsidian.  I have to say I was a bit disappointed - I know, I know - I'm WELL in the minority there.  I think it's because they were both Psy.  I felt for Kaleb and everything he went through.  I think I would have liked him better with a Changeling mate.

Reading an old HP freebie, Jenny's Turn by Vanessa Grant. Pretty good. Both characters are stubborn idiots. :-)

finished All the Right Moves by Jo Leigh (Blaze) it was ok - wasn't wild about the hero and hated the heroine's brother for most of the book...not the best I've read. Started another Blaze I've had a while - The Seal's Seduction by Tawny Weber- think I read A Seal's Surrender and liked it so now this one is up even though I dont' remember much about the other book!

Just getting into Paris by Edward Rutherfurd. It's 700+ pages so will probably take all week. Love his stuff.

I finished Make Me, Sir by Cherise Sinclair, which I think has become one of my favorites in the series, and am now about halfway through Carnal Compromise, which is having its ups and downs.

So I know there are several Travis fans here and I thought I would share what I came across.

From Lisa Kleypas FB page:

Dear Friends,
I am so thrilled to share some news about my next book: A contemporary romance titled "Brown-Eyed Girl," and the hero is . . . JOE TRAVIS! I just couldn't get the ideas for the story out of my head, and my wonderful editor let me set aside my work-in-progress so I could concentrate fully on Brown-Eyed Girl. I'll have an excerpt here and on my website later today if you'd like to sneak a peek.

So Excited!!! Although, I may have to do a re-read of the others first.

Right now I'm halfway through Deadly Lies. Its turning out to be my least fave of the trilogy but still pretty good.

Me too about Lisa Kleypas!  I love me some Travis men!  LOL

I have had zero time to read in the last few months.  It's pathetic.  My little girl's softball team has completely consumed my life.  Ugh.  I just finished reading Barefoot in the Sun (Roxanne St Claire) and I was underwhelmed.  I probably would have DNFd it if it wasn't for a review.  It wasn't bad, I just didn't CARE.

Finished Deadly Lies. I liked the second half better than the first.  With the first two books I kind of had an idea 'who dunnit'. This one got pretty crazy, so I honestly had no clue. The whole trilogy though has been really great.

That is awesome about LK!!  Maybe she finally realizes she needs to stay away from paranormal and do what she does best.

Finished reading Redneck Romeo by Lorelei James.  It was great, but I hated the heroine Rory.

I'm reading Bully... it's not quite as interesting as the premise and reviews made it sound, but definitely un-put-downable.

Sherri: I completely agree about Rory, she was also pretty predictable.

I'm now reading a Kindle freebie, Gemini by Penelope Ward.

Loved maya banks forged in Steele. Loved how easy Steele folded like a marshmallow. Wonderful!

I can't wait to read Steele's story, too!  I have a copy waiting for me at my mom's, but I won't get there until Saturday!

Glad I'm not the only one who felt that way.

I'm reading a couple of books right now: Tying You Down by Cheyenne McCray and also the first Lord John book by Diana Gabaldon. The second one is a gift - in hardback - so I feel obligated to give it a try, even though it's not something I'd ever pick up.  I don't read M/M.

Gemini was just meh, thank goodness it was free. I also read Black Heart by R. L. Mathewson. I wasn't too impressed by the first part but by the middle I was hooked. I read at the end she was going back to the Pyte/Sentinel series next, yay! Now I'm reading The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden. I've also realized I don't know how to spell coincidence, yay spell check!

Ooooh, I liked The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden a lot!

I decided to start Slammed by Colleen Hoover. I'm hoping I enjoy it as much as I did Hopeless.

Well the Lord John book by Diana Gabaldon ended up a DNF.  Not because of anything other than I thought it was dry and a little boring.

Tying You Down by Cheyenne McCray was just ok. I don't think I'll be reading anything more by her. It's as if she tries to be similar to Lorelei James but doesn't quite hook you.

Also read a couple of novellas yesterday - nothing to write home about.
