New week!

I finished The Billionaire's Obsession and it was pretty good but I think I was more into the billionaire brother, so I had to go and grab Heart of the Billionaire. I liked it even better!

between books - finished Robin Kaye's 2nd book and have the 3rd so may go ahead and start it next (library ebook has 3 books in 1) not wild about the spoiled brother Rich but oh well didn't like the other sister in the 2nd book either but her story was ok. also have a couple of mystery ebooks from the library as well as feehan's next carpathians book...luckily night shift is coming up for 2 weeks...will probably start evanovich's book 18 on audio on the 3 hr trip home today....

Read His Wife for a While by Donna Fasano.   I think it was supposed to be considered touchy subject matter but I just found it cheesy and unrealistic.

I finished Outlander. Wow is all I can say. Epic on so many levels. But at times I felt like I was in the twilight zone, reading reading reading and getting nowehere, lol. Also, I don't think I have ever hated a fictional character as much as I do Jonathan Randall.

I have no idea what I'm going to read next, but whatever it is, it will be short.

Finished Carl Hiaasen's new one Bad Monkey on audio. It was ok but not as good as some of his previous ones. However, Arte Johnson was the reader and he was great! Reading Never Seduce a Scoundrel by Heather Grothaus and Forever Chic by Tish Jett. It's a review copy but its getting tedious.

I read a BDSM short story, Hot, Rich and Dominant. It was a fun, quick read.

I also read a non romance yesterday, Breathless by Lurlene McDaniel. Excellent.

listening to Janet Evanovich's Explosive Eighteen ..sigh...not sure why but I guess it's entertaining enough in spite of Stephanie being beyond stupid. I haven't tried Carl Hiaasen's on audio though I've read a few - maybe I'll give those a try! I read Skinny Dip and one longer ago about a safari hunt and a lab..pretty good but the dog one was my first by this author and I wasn't sure what to expect.

reading a library ebook - Robin Kaye's 3rd book - think it's Breakfast in Bed. Just got started on it. Also skimmed some of Dangerous Boys and Their Toy and think I'll go back to the beginnning and read the story blush also have some other library ebooks as well as some I've bought that sounded good.

finished the Robin Kaye book - I think out of the 3 I liked Nick and Lee the best - also liked Mike and Rich but didn't care of the heroines in the 2nd and 3rd books. Just started Accidental Bride by Christina Skye- hopefully it'll be an easy stress-free read...

I have gotta say, I am not really in a reading rut, but I am in a new release rut. The current crop of genres does absolutely nothing for me- triads, m/m, new adult, Billionaire doms, paranormals. Where are the cowboys and the soldiers and the kilts I ask you? Alas... but it gives me a chance to catch up on the TBR and library list while waiting for my stuff to cycle back through.

Random thought: True Blood/ Sookie Stackhouse- the season premiere for this season just turned me off to the whole thing. I deleted the rest of the Sookie books from the library list.

Random thought- old authors still writing quality series books: for all the Janet Evanoviches and Stephanie Laurens going back to the well one (or several) too many times, let me give a cheer for Jude Deveraux. I recently read a review copy of her new one,True Love. It was fabulous! A Montgomery story. What struck me was that the story was fresh and yet she still managed to weave in the backstory of the Montgomery and Taggart clans without duplicating. There were even a couple shout outs to previous books that you only recognized if you had read the previous ones but in no way interfered with the current one. One of my very few keepers is a beat up copy of A Knight in SHining Armor. I'm not sure how long she's been writing, but the rest of them need to take JUde to lunch and learn how to keep a series going without being repetitive.

Haven't read anything because I did some overtime (I work 10 hour days also) and have only had one day off since last Monday. I did start listening to The Guardian by Sherrily Kenyon and I'm not impressed so far, I just keep rolling my eyes and thinking "oh the drama". She's really over done the whole "I've been soooo tortured" hero. I only have a limited selection of audio books from the library but I don't think that I'll be listening to anything by her anytime soon.

I read Battered, Not Broken by Ranae Rose. It was decent. Didn't love it though.

I think I'm going to start Blind Obsession by Ella Frank.

still reading Christina Skye's Accidental Bride - Jilly is featured in this one - had a heart attack or something at 27 so has to be low stress - friends sent her what they called a cooking retreat(she's a chef) but it's really a knitting retreat (which she hates) so far I'm enjoying it since I like knitting and reading about food...and Wyoming!

Nancy I wasn't impressed with Bad Monkey either. I never did warm up to Yancy...ok for most of the book I didn't even like him. I finished Francine River's Redeeming Love and it was good. Also readd another Stephanie Laurens. LOVED Courtney Milan's The Heiress Effect.

still reading the Kimberly Raye vampire Blaze books but also went back to a mystery (also library ebook -loving these libraries and overdrive!) that I'd started a while back (mainly to see if it finallly downloaded to the ereader - sigh - having issues with this stupid adobe stuff not authorizing stuff...but it finally transferred onmy other computer) I love how easy the kindle wireless stuff works (haven't done the kindle usb only transfer yet!) I'ts Mistletoe Murder by Leslie Meier - think it's the first so that's why I'm reading a Christmas themed book...will likely go back to the Blaze but after the last one didnt' want to try eating my bbq sandwich and tater in public while reading endless nookie - I'm good but not that good!blush

how's I Dream of Danger? I wasn't impressed with her last couple of books - that series didn't grab me and I hated all the weird violecne. :-(

went back to the mystery I was reading - Mistletoe Murder by Leslie Meier - pretty good so far. I have the 2nd downloaded frm the library just in cae I liked this one. also started Bear Meets Girl by Shelly Laurenson - Library sent email about her newer book and I realized I hadn't read this one and I've had it on my kindle for a while. will probably finish the mystery first though - just started the other while waiting for Sonic and I didn't have my nook with me to read the mystery.

eta: finished the mystery - too many people to keep track of but oh well - it was still a decent read. now back to Bear Meets Girl by Shelly Laurenston. that series has way too many characters and I can't even begin to keep track of them all :-(

Yeah- I love me some LMR, but the first one in the Danger series was just weird and a DNF for me.

Sherry, thanks for the recommend of Drew In Blue that was really cute and funny. I didn't love the ending though or rather it didn't end how I wanted it to, but up till that point the book was fabulously funny. I loved Drew and his snarky self reflection.
