Long night at work! I managed to finish a mystery I started - Knitting Bones by Monica Ferris. I like this series mainly because of the projects they discuss (knitting and such!) but this one had a pretty neat storyline to it as well. Some of her plots have been hit and miss for me but this was pretty good.

Now I've started 'Arousing Suspicions' by Marianne Stillings. Hopefully I'll enjoy this one like all her other books I've read! Then I might go back to Beth Ciotta...not that far ahead in the planning!

I just finished 'Chez Moi' (a book I'm using for a swap)...I actually liked it although it was a bit out there. The language was really beautiful.

Now I'm starting 'Duty & Desire' the second book on the Darcy, Gentleman trilogy. I would have wanted to wait a bit before starting it but I already promised them to somebody else! (I have all the three books and they are WL.)

i finished If You Dare (MacCarrick Brothers, Bk 1) by Kresley Cole, which was good.  i've already read book 3 in the series, and will probably read book 2 in a few days.

Just finished Tell it to the Marines by Amy Fetzer. It's an anthology with three stories and she really has done a good job of having plot with the romance. Of course the heroes are all tough marines but the heroines aren't too wimpy and I do like the relationships she develops in a couple of them. Love it when tough guys fall in love.....Liked the middle story - Hot Landing Zone - about an egghead scientist rescued by marines -- the best.

Finished My Lord and Spymaster - I know some thought it was a letdown, but I really liked it!  Her writing is so sparkling and I loved all the slow seduction.  I think Jess may be my vote for best heroine at the AAR poll for 2008.

I'm trying to psyche myself into walking before work...then I can listen to more of 'twenty wishes' by debbie macomber! It's my latest audio download, though I still want the book..last time I listened to Back on Blossom Street and kept 'cheating' with the book 'cause i HAD to know what was gonna happen LOL! made it a bit tough to find the new place on the mp3 but I managed!

also still reading 'arousing suspiciions'..this one is about Nate Darling, one of the undercover guys in  'Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evie'..Ij ust love this author for a nice cute read! I'm planning on fi nishing it tongiht at work (cross my fingers we're not busy!) then maybe start 'everybody loves evie' or something else I have with me - still have Joy in the Morning to finish and if I'm still in  knitting mode I have 'sisterhood of the dropped st itches' by j anet tronsted..a Love Inspired romance so know there won't be any sex there LOL! but the series sounded interesting..think there are 3 in it now..new author for me though. or might go paranormal...see all these decisions just exhaust me!

Finally just finished "Cutting Loose" by Tara Janzen. It was okay, but her earlier books were MUCH, much better. I don't know what happened.

I'm trying to slog my way through my TBR pile before I get more new stuff...I might try Linda Howard's To Die For next.

I finished Fantasy Lover by Kenyon and to be honest I was a bit let down by it.  It just didn't click with me like her others have.

Now I'm reading WW2 romance set in Britian called Blood Moon over Britain by Morag McKendrick Pippin.

Angie, someone on Romantictimes was saying her newest Loose book is really good..so I"m wondering if I should get through the other 2 loose titles..I was  bit bummed at the last 2 'crazy' books esp with Gillian/red dog..ick..though the side romance in the last one that I think picks up again in the first loose book sounded good..

I've just read Line of Fire by Cindy Dees and Pushing Up Bluebonnets by Leann Sweeney--both were pretty good. Next up is Frostbite by Richelle Mead--book 2 of the Vampire Academy series.

Sherri--I'd be interested to hear how you like that WW2 book--I have it on my reminder list.

Started Blue Sage by Anne Stuart. Pretty typical Stuart, which is good, 'cause that's just what I was in the mood for.  Also started Dark Deeds at Night's End or whatever the heck it's called.

I'm a little over halfway through 'The Thin Woman' and I have to admit I"m liking it a lot better now that I've gotten more into it. Not sureI'll finish it before bed this morning since I'm tired but I may get a second wind once I get home and eat breakfast..or maybe read some romance...

I read a little more of 'The Thin Woman' but got too tired to stay awake and finish it! I'll probably finish it either tonight or before sleeping in the morning.

Shari - I finished it this morning early and it was just OK in my book.  It was more mystery than romance really and a LOT of the terminology in the book was British, so if you don't know what a brolly, boffin, dosh, scarper, jammy, wobbler or  starkers is (just SOME of the words used!)  you might get lost.  I ended up googling some of the terms just so the storyline made sense.

Not sure what I'm reading next....

I read Crazy In Love by Luanne Rice.  I didn't really care for it.  Just didn't engage all my attention.  It's the first I've tried by her, not sure if I would try another one or not.

I read a Presents that I enjoyed way more than the average Presents.  It was The Magnate's Indecent Proposal by Ally Blake. Sounds generic I know, but very enjoyable.  The hero was hot without being a jerk and the heroine had some issues without being a pain.  Humor, sex, story moved along, I recommend it.

Read Leaving Normal by Stef Ann Holm.  Another new author for me.  This one was about a 43 yr old divorced woman and a 34 yr old divorced hot hunky firefighter.  The heat level in this one was actually very mild.  The book focused more on relationships between H and h and assorted other characters.  Still I found it very enjoyable and would read more by her.

Next up is Trial By Fire by Jo Davis.  Went out and bought it today after reading all the comments about it here and at Romantic Times.

i just finished Merry Christmas, Baby by MaryJanice Davidson, Erin McCarthy, Nancy Warren, Donna Kauffman, Lucy Monroe, Susanna Carr, which was fun and cute.  Christmas romance anthology.  i'd never read her before, but i particularly liked the story from Donna Kauffman, so i'm going to have to see what else she's written.

I read The Duke of Shadows and really quite enjoyed it!  I can't wait for her next book to come out - it's going to be an autobuy for me.  I also read The Mercenary by Cherry Adair the first of her T-Flac novels.  A quick read and decent - but now I want to know if she ever did a story about Tory's brother.

Thanks, Sherri--I think I'll hold off on that one or see if the library has it.

I finished Frostbite and can't wait for the next one! Now I'm reading C.J.'s Fate by Kay Hooper--so far it's pretty good.
