New month!

I finished Dreams of a Dark Warrior by Kresley Cole.  I liked it but the length really bogged it down.  515 pages was way too long in my opinion.  It was one of the more romantic stories I thought though.

Going to start on Pearl in the Sand by Tessa Afshar next.

I'm reading Explosive by Beth Kery.  It's not blowing me away (pun intended).  I hate when I read a book and just don't care about the characters.

Decided to DNF  Hidden Away (KGI, Bk 3) :: Maya Banks couldn't take the heroine's whine any longer.

Still reading Revealed :: Kate Noble and am liking it.

I just finished The Prince of Midnight by Laura Kinsale.  If you like horses and wolves/dogs and wounded Heros and Heroines this book is for you.  The Marquis De Sade even makes an appearance.

Still have Mountain Dreams on the back burner, and instead read Hard to Hold by Julie Leto.  This is one of those True Vows books- a story of a real couple and how they met and fell in love, written by a romance author.  I had previously read another of these books, Meet Me in Manhattan, and I liked this one better- the story flowed better, and I liked the characters more.

Guess I will try Mountain Dreams again next, assuming I can stomach the hero and his "everythin' is goin' to be alright, little lady, now why don't you bring your pretty self over here and give me a little ole kiss" attitude.  Yecch.

Reading Carol Lynne's Branded by Love. The first story, Branded by Gold, not too good. Gave it 2 stars. Predictable and dull. Close to halfway through the 2nd story. Plot is extremely predictable and the characters haven't acted very believably.

I'm undecided - nothing is appealing to me. I have several that would finish up some of the spring challenges on RT but not sure I'm in the mood for them just now.

Dug into my TBR pile. I just finished reading Just Wicked Enough by Lorraine Heath, a NTM author. I really enjoyed the book, I know some people didn't like the heroine. I would definitely read other books by her. And keeping with the NTM theme, I'm reading my first Marsha Canham book - Pale Moon Rider. Just loving it.

Dagmar, Pale Moon Rider was among my favorites of Marsha Canham's so far.

I finished Brazen by Maya Banks over the weekend. Pretty unremarkable. And the heroine was gratingly TSTL.

I picked up a book I've had on Mt. TBR for a long time, All About Men by Shannon McKenna, one of my favorite authors. It's been a while since I've read anything by her, and I forgot just how uber-Alpha her men are. It's disconcerting, yet hot at the same time. lol About halfway through, and so far, so good.

I gave up on Mountain Dreams.  I read one more chapter, and I just cannot get past the arrogant good ole boy chauvanist attitude of the hero, who seems to think that all the herone needs to solve her problems is a roll in the sack with him.  That's only the 2nd book I've ever put on my Goodreads DNF shelf.

Started The Perfect Play by Jaci Burton, a NTM author.  I could sit and stare at the cover all day long...I hope the story is as good!

 ROFLMAO Lesley!!!!!

I finished a library book last night, The Bridegroom by Linda Lael Miller.  It was the 4th book in her Stone Creek Series (even though on PBS it says book 5).  I loved this series and I am sorry to see it end; I've really enjoyed it.  Not sure what I'll read next.  Gotta go back to work tomorrow, but hey, only 27 days of school left!  laugh

I am reading The Edge of Night by Jill Sorenson. Most of the romantic suspense books I read are special ops kinda guys, so the patrol cop thing is a new one for me. I've heard good things about it though.

Willa I've heard if you like steampunk that The Iron Duke is a really good book.  Have you read the short story prequel?

Sigh, the ebook library has the prequel, but 5 people are ahead of me. Guess I'll just have to read them out of order.

Willa, I've read the prequel (which was really fantastic) but it has diff main characters from the book (which I haven't read yet) so I think it's ok to read the book first.

Heh - well, I know now the library has it, so it's all good! Thanks Ashley.

Finished The Way Home. The ending dropped off the grade a bit... it was so close to totally awesome. Still very good.

Finished Ben's Wildflower (Carol Lynne). It got better as it went along so I gave it 3 stars.

Now to finish Moreta (Anne McCaffrey) and a book I started yesterday, before the scifi reading challenge begins this weekend.
