A Few Good Men by Cat Johnson

Lawless by Emma Wildes     Will definitely be checking out some of her other stuff.

Recently finished Thea Harrison's Storm's Heart....loved it!

Hexed an anthology with Allyson James with the Stormwalker series and again it was a sweet story and a good short read.

Jaci Burton's Riding on Instinct and it was good, just didn't blow me away.

Not sure what I have coming up next, but have plenty to read.

I'm reading Dime Store Magic by Kelly Armstrong, in a vain attempt to catch up on the series. I'm also reading Amber Eyes by Maya Banks. I'm liking both so far.

I loved The Secret Mistress.  I just finished The Help - really loved it and am not making plans to go the movie,  I have to read our chapter of Walking the Bible for our family read this evening and then am going to start Ilona Andrew's Magic Bites.

Lucretia, I enjoyed Summer in Sonoma though my fave part was most people's complaintes -the detailed budgeting and financial stuff of one couple LOL I was into dave ramsey and financial peace at the time and just focused on that part like crazy! I didn't care as much for the motorcycle chick in one place but hey it was all ok...I also thought 2 of the women got brushed over more - seems 2 couples got more of the focus. overall a nice read for me last year.

I'm still on Storm's Heart - not much reading done this weekend except before sleeping..my dad's getting his treatment in the hospital and my 2 visits he was awake so we watched tv and chatted a bit..thought the first night he'd go to sleep but he seemed to rally so book stayed in the purse! I have so many to read and just not enough time - going on day shift so won't have much time then either except before bed. havent even finished the last 3 quilt and repaired a couple of spots on the 1st one like I thought I'd do - guess wed will be catchup day if my dad's feeling ok.

Lucretia and Susanna, I loved Summer in Sonoma--I really enjoy those stories where there's a bunch of characters, and you get to follow several different stories all at once...

Finished a few forgettable category titles, and just started Kristin Hannah's Winter Garden.  I'm hoping it's not too depressing, but it's not been cheery so far...

"I just finished The Help - really loved it and am not making plans to go the movie"

I hear you! The more I loved a book, the less I want to see the movie. I seem to be odd in this regard.

It's hard to start another book after finishing one I really liked. Think I'll relax with an old Presents for awhile.

I'm reading Ava Gray's Skin Game.  Not too far into it - only a couple of chapters so far.

Now reading Marrying the Major by Victoria Bylin

I haven't had much reading time lately, but managed to finish Burning Up by Susan Andersen.  It was decent- I did like to see the heroine sticking it to the snotty popular girls from her high school 10 years later, lol.  Now I'm on Instant Attraction by Shalvis.

I finished Mesmerized (Phantom Corps, Bk 2) by Lauren Dane last night. Nothing special, and definitely the least memorable of the entire series. She set up the next book rather well, though. Looks like it will be a menage. wink

I've started Kate Pearce's Simply Insatiable. It will be interesting to see what made Minshom become such a complete asshat.

I brought a friend to the hospital for a general anesthesia procedure, brought category romances with me, figuring I'd finish one - I was lucky to read 60 pages in the Presents I had. There were few people in the waiting area so it wasn't due to distractions; I just couldn't seem to concentrate. What a shame, too, as I was there over 4 hours, could have polished off the Presents and then some.

Hopefully I can get a little bit more reading done this evening.

Gail

Just finished the last two Lynsay Sands Argeneau books during the hurricane.  Both better than someof her recent ones but I'm actually looking forward to her November title after reading the teaser...a life-mate for Teddy the older police chief. Hope its good!

I've been in a reading slump, so I picked up Patricia Briggs' Mercy Thompson series from my keeper shelf and read them this weekend.  I LOVE those books!  I went to her website to check what's next and she won't have another Mercy book out until Spring of 2013!?!  I think I'll die.

My TBR keeps growing and I can't find interest in any of them.  I've got to get out of this slump.

I'm still reading Storm's Heart by Thea Harrison. no sleep sunnight - was picking up my dad and getting him settled after his chem treatment then had to leave for jury duty - got picked and may take all week well through thurs - judge has other duties on fridays so won't be hearing testimony that day.

Gail hospital reading is hard - even if the surgery isn't 'dangerous' or someone I'm super close to there are lots of things going through my head...just not good reading location for me though I keep trying!

I started Ilona Andrews, Magic Burns.  I've waited to collect all these books to start reading them.  I think that the premise is very interesting and am looking forward to the series.

Skin Game was awesome!  What a different kind of romance (she's a con artist, he's an assassin).  Kyra's "ability" was interesting and I loved, loved, loved her chemistry with Reyes.  I love when I'm pleasantly surprised by a book. smiley

I finished Marrying the Major by Victoria Bylin and it was borderline just ok/good.   The heroine had a pretty HUGE secret for the time period and the author just kind of passed it off as the norm using present day morals instead of giving us some background on what the she might have REALLY experienced in 1876. So that kind of irked me.  But it wasn't a bad read.  (and if you just want to know - spoiler....... the white heroine was married to a black man, in the South, in 1876)

Just started on With No Remorse by Cindy Gerard.

ACK!!!  I was all ready to dive into Skin Tight after finishing Skin Game last night, only to discover I have book number THREE on my shelf, not number 2.  WAAAHHHHHH!  I have to either a) go out & buy it or b) wait for my turn on the WL     Boooooooo.  I hate when that happens.  lol

Michelle B, I hate when that happens, but that is an awesome series, can't wait for the next one. I hear you Renee on the Mercy series. I blame Sherri for that, she is the one that got me hooked. ;-) I just finished Allison Brennan's Cutting Edge I think it was. This was yummy Duke Rogan's book, wonder when we are going to get Kane Rogan's book. I think he is going to be such an interesting character.

You are corect Sherri that would be pretty earth shattering for that timeframe.

LOL!  If it involves Adam or Charles, I'll gladly take the blame.  ;-)

Melissa I loved that book!  I cried buckets.  I haven't seen the movie yet (but have it recorded on my DVR).

I DNFd Play Dirty by Lorie O'Clare.  What a waste of paper.
