Still reading Charlotte Featherstone's Seduction and Scandal and it has improved to where I am wanting to stay with it.

I'm reading Heyer's FREDERICA which I re-read every couple of years or so. It's a hardcover so to bring to work in my tote bag I'll be going back to the Mariah Stewart rom/susp I started earlier this month.

Susanna, so sorry about your dad, especially since it has not been all that long since you lost your mom.  {{Hugs}} to you.

I gave up on Tempt Me Tonight for the time being- it was really starting to drag.  I started Head Over Heels by Shalvis instead.  It's fine so far, predictable and a lot like the other 2, but likeable enough.

I finished Charlotte Featherstone's Seduction and Scandal and it was a 3 1/2 star for me. I liked it well enough to continue the series.

ETA: I am about halfway through Brenda Novak's The Bastard. The writing has been pretty good, but the h/h have both got on  my nerves at one point or another.

Susanna...I lost both of my parents in similar circumstances...it is so hard...my thoughts are with you.

Just finished Cindy Gerar's Show No Mercy (1st in the Black Ops series)...read the Bodyguards series and, even tho I know the main characters are going to come thru, she still sucks me in and I love them!!

I'm bringing Andrea Penrose's SWEET REVENGE, regency-set mystery, to work with me. Not bringing a back-up book so I hope it'll be good.

I've never read anything by this author, under any of her pen names, so we'll see how it goes. It's a library book and I want to get all my library items read or listened to by the end of the year.

thanks everyone. I'm trying to get through visitation and the funeral/burial - maybe I'll make it ok after that. nothing will bring them back can only hope they're together and I'll see them again someday. a friend is gonna drive to be with me and hopefully she can stay a few days and I an go back and spend the holiday with them if my brother isn't up to a big celebration.

reading Mended Hearts, a love inspired by ruth logan herne. I've forgotten the 2 previous books an dhow people are related but oh well it stands alone ok too.

Finished Enduring Light -- it was sweet, but doesn't make me want to dive into more inspirationals. Wouldn't recommend it for anyone who hasn't read the first book. Now starting Lure of Song and Magic, which is not grabbing me so far.

Anne, those are two of my favs out of the entire series. I just finished Novak's The Bastard and it was good. Now what to read next!

ETA: I decided to go with NTM author Jo Davis's Trial by Fire and so far Howard has been one sexy hunk.

Keri - Howard was sooooooooo sexy. I loved that book simply because of him. Definitely the best of the series! Add me to the list of those reading Head Over Heels. I finished Men Out of Uniform and it was definitely a forgettable anthology.

So bored with my book, I gave it up for now and started Lady Fortune by Anne Stuart.  But I have a feeling I need an HP break.

Finished Trial by Fire. That was a great kick off to the series and I have Under Fire in my hands as we speak. I was going to read something else, but I can't resist Zach's story. He is too much the man of mystery right now.

Finished Head Over Heels and it was a good read.  I want to live in Lucky Harbor!  LOL

Now I'm reading Mistress Christmas by Lorelei James

I'm about 3/4 of the way through Head Over Heels.  I love Chloe and Sawyer together, and he is one of my fave types of heroes.  He's big and tough and sexy and smart and mature with a huge weakness for Chloe.

Susanna, I was so sorry to hear about your dad. It's an especially tough time of year to lose a loved one. My thoughts and prayers are with you and you brother.

I am fighting my way through Hot Ice (Men of T-FLAC, Bk 7) by Cherry Adair. This is the first book in this series that has failed to catch my immediate attention.

I want to read Sawyer's story but feel like I need to read the 2nd book first and I can't stand that storyline and can't stand the heroine.

finished Mended Hearts - maybe I'll read yuletide hearts by the same author -another love inspired - need something to get my mind off stuff and to prevent it from sinking in even more. family friend wants me to hang around and see her daughter who's close to my age on thurs before I leave so that leaves me hanging out today and tomorrow and maybe spending thurs night though I'll probably head back.

Susanna, just go for it with Head over Heals! It's fantastic - I didn't expect to like it because the first two in the series were just "enh" for me (esp. the second one, go ahead, it's ok to skip it. you won't be missing out on anything vital to the series) but this one is REALLY good! I love the characters, seperately and together. One of the better contemporaries I have read in a while....the only problem is what am I going to read next?!
