I just finished A Bride in the Bargain by Deeanne Gist.  I've read all five of her books over the last month or so. I would say that this one is the most focused on the romance.  There is not as much development of the other characters or the setting as there was in her other books.  The first book, A Bride Most Begrudging, is still my favorite.

I just started reading Forsaken by James David Jordan last night.  I'm only about 60 pages into it but so far it has been pretty good.  It is a mystery/suspense /thriller type.  Someone won it from me in a swap and I have to read before mailing out.  I hardly ever read a swap book before sending, but I am this one.  Most of the time I have either already read them or don't care about reading them.  This one though has been sitting on my TBR pile for a while waiting for me to get to it.

Deborah, you know I'm waiting waiting waiting to read those Sullivan Crisp books and you are intentionally taunting me by saying how good they are!  Meanie!  LOL!

My weekend reads were The Christmas Bus and Julotta.  Both were very quick reads, but I enjoyed them both.  Lighhearted, "feel good" books.  I just started Brink of Death, by Brandilyn Collins - so far, so good.

I'm reading Boo Who by Rene Gutteridge. It's the 2nd in a series. cute but I waited too long after reading Boo that I'm having to relearn the characters and there are a lot in the town! The first book, Boo, was really cute though so I'm hoping the rest will be c ute. have the 3rd and got the 4th from the library.

am I the only one reading?! :) I finished Boo Who and also finished Boo Hiss which I think is the funniest of the 3 though all were pretty funny. Started the last book - Boo Humbug so will probably try to finish that one by tonight if I find time to read.

I'm reading The Missing by Beverly Lewis. Borrowed it and 3 other CF books from the public library last week and haven't had much time to read. Maybe after Christmas!

I started Anathema by Colleen Coble yesterday and haven't been able to put it down.  I don't know if it's because I've never read any Amish fiction or haven't read much Christian mystery, but this has just gripped me.  I can't wait to get to the end.  If the bad guy is who I think it is, I'm gonna wring his neck! LOL!!  I might have found a new favorite author.

Let me know how you like that Christa:) I read her Lonestar series and wasn't real interested in them. I don't know, just me. Had trouble finishing to the end.

I finished Love Finds You In Last Chance California and I loved it!! Now to go find another book:)

I like Colleen's romantic suspenses. Her Rock Harbor series and Aloha Reef series are really good. My absolute favorite is her standalone Abomination.

I'm a little over halfway now and I'm still liking it.  The only real issue is that there are a lot of related characters....aunts, cousins, in-laws, foster children...it's a litte hard to keep up with all the relationships and they are important.  You get the feeling that one of those ties is going to be the thing to unravel the mystery.

Finished Anathema.  Great story, but yea....you better keep up with those relationships if you want to understand the ending.  i had to back-track a little bit to get it all.
