I am reading  Masque of the Red Death :: Bethany Griffin for Shronda's YA game. It is quite good. I have looked at it on my shelf for a while. now. Well written. Beautiful cover art too. I sucker for good cover art.

I can use it for the either the paranormal challenge or YA challenge. Such a choice!!

I started reading Will by Maria Boyd. I was in the mood for an Austrailian author.

Getting a good start on this challenge.  Have read six books already.  My first read for the year and for the challenge was an anthology titled America Street A Multicultural Anthology of Stories edited by Anne Mazer.  I enjoy anthologies as they introduce me to new authors and are quick to read.  Also reading some Patricia Wrede YA books for the fantasy challenge - completed the first two of the Enchanted Forest series (Dealing with Dragons and Searching for Dragons) and am reading the  third - Calling on Dragons.  Sometimes I get caught up in a series by reading a later book.  When I finished Love and Peaches by Jodi Lynn Anderson I checked the first two books in the series and discovered that three friends are featured in all of them.  Now I'm sorry I read the third one first!  Really enjoyed A Northern Light by Jennifer Donnelly which I rated four stars.  Should it be five?  Have to think about that.  Also finished The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky.  The letter writing concept is well done.  However, I just can't believe that any teen-ager could experience all the events that occurred in just one year of Charlie's life.  Therefor I have to give it three stars.  City of Lost Souls by Cassandra Clare  was a bit disappointing.  I really like this author but this novel in the series seems to have similar scenarios from earlier novels.  Just how many scrapes can Jace get himself?  Instead of being possessed this time he is life bonded to Sebastian who was supposed to be dead.  I did give it four stars but it should probably be about 3.5.

Finally finished Middle Ground by Katie Kacvinsky.  It took forever to get into, but then last night I sat and read the 2nd half and couldn't put it down.  Anyone know if there's gonna be a 3rd book?  It could go either way...

I started reading  Every Other Day :: Jennifer Lynn Barnes for a swap. It is quite good. I had passed it over many times but I am enjoying it. Little bit of a different twist.

Just wanted to let the couple of people that I have seen posting in here recently that we would love to have you in the YA WL Virtual Box if you would like to join us...  it is often a much faster way to get books you are looking for than the FIFO method! :)

I enjoyed Dualed...normally when I don't connect with the character, I don't like the story but some reason, this one still worked.  Now starting Shadows in the Silence by Courtney Allison Moulton

Will finish REACHED on my drive home today.  I think I liked this one the best, though it really jumped around a lot with a lot of different parts.  This one made Xander much more likeable...

I started  The Diviners (Diviners, Bk 1) :: Libba Bray last night. It is good so far. This book is my first Libba Bray book. Has anyone read Diviners yet?

I was in quite a book slump for a while! Just couldn't get the urge to start anything! Reading Darkest Mercy, the last of the wicked lovely books. Once again I'm jumping back into a series I haven't seen in a while so its hard to remember what already happened!! :)

Shadows in the Silence just didn't keep my attention.  I finished it, but I liked the first two books better.  Now starting Fever by Lauren DeStefano

I finished The Lost Prince after several weeks of trying to get through it. I am not sure why, but this one didn't draw me in like the first 3 Iron Fey books did. Today I finished Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas. I thought it was enjoyable and it was a fast read. Curious to see where the next book goes. Rift is next for me.

April, I started reading Lost Prince on my kindle last night...not sure how it'll go.

Finished OUT OF THE EASY by Ruth Sepetys yesterday.  Wasn't nearly as good as Between Shades of Gray...  And I started listening to Cinder in the car this morning...
