I just put down Blood Red Road by Moria Young. I gave up after 200 pages. I couldn't get used to the writing style and the main character was not likeable at all. The book has been sitting on my shelf for months and I picked it up yesterday because I offered it in a swap. I'm sad I didn't like it. It was one of those books that had been on my WL forever. I'm about to start The Bridge by Jane Higgins.

Working on finishing the total challenge with three books to go for the full challenge.  For Non-human protagonist:  Brisingr by Christopher Paolini and Book set in a country other than US/GB/Aus/Canada:  Bamboo People by Mitali Perkins.  In addition, I read Allegiant by Veronica Roth which I felt was a great ending to a fascinating trilogy.  Some reviews I read didn't like it but I thought the author was true to her characters and her story.  Good, good read.  Also read  Shades of Earth (Across the Universe #3) by Beth Revis for in space or off the earth in the challenge.  It's a soso read.

I just finished Crown of midnight (Throne of glass #2) and it was sooo good. I am really enjoying this series and can not wait to see what happens next. The downside to reading a series before it is finished is now I have to wait....

finished TEARDROP on the drive in today.  It was ok...  Liked the characters better than the Fallen series.  Curious to see how book 2 goes.

Started Reason To Breathe (book 1) by Rebecca Donovan on the drive to work this morning.

I finished Allegiant by Veronica Roth a few days ago. I didn't like it as much as the first two but still enjoyed reading it. I don't want to spoil it for anyone so I won't say more.

Today I finished Champion by Marie Lu. What a fantastic series. I love all three books and found myself in need of a kleenex at the end. She wraps the series up beatifully and I highly recomment it if you haven't read it yet. So good!

Has anyone else read Why We Broke Up?  It seems like it might be really good so I don't want to stop reading it, but wow is it odd and dragging...

i have Jacki...it was ok....i actually llistened to it so I didn't have the benefit of the pictures that accompany the story....but i wasn't super keen on the story...not a fan of the type that jumps all over the place...

Here's the thing...  the pictures were really no big deal...  I think it might be better as an audiobook....  reading it is almost agonizing at times...  there are far too many books for me to read to continue this one...  and that's a big deal since I only know of two other books I have ever not finished...

only about 1/2 way through Reason to Breathe yet...  Didn't realize it's like a 14-15 hour long audiobook.  Guess the book is longer than I expected.  It's REALLLLLLLY good though.  Then again, I love any audiobook read by Kate Rudd.   (she did all the Between the Lines narration as well)

loved reason to breathe!  didn't like the ending though...you really need the 2nd book lined up and ready to go (which i don't) as it literally leaves you hanging.

started BROKEN by CJ Lyons now.

Just finished The Heir Chronicles (The Enchanter Heir) by Cinda Williams Chima. Pretty good series. This last of two has a bit of a different tone than the original trilogy. Also read Allegiant. Good, but created more questions, I think.

I am reading Replica (Replica, Bk 1) :: Jenna Black. It is quite good. Not sure how they will make a trilogy out of this but I perhaps it will become apparant as the story progresses.

finished BROKEN by CJ Lyons this morning.  It was pretty predictable, but the last 30 pages or so is when it really got exciting.  Though of course you knew what was going to happen.  Working on RADIANT SKY at home..  about 1/3 of the way through that.

Happy Thanksgiving

I started an interesting YA/historical/steampunk last night The Dark Unwinding :: Sharon Cameron. It is set in 1852 London. Interesting blend of historical/mystery/steampunk. I am glad to see she has a second book out.

I started reading Article 5 yesterday. Not what I was expecting. Not sure if I like it or not.
