Currently reading Alluring Stranger (Taboo) by Jaymie Holland on my Kindle.  It's a bit different from what I normally read, but it's holding my interest.

Just finished with The Magical Christmas Cat anthology.  I only read the Nalini Singh and Lora Leigh stories but they were both good.

Now reading Distant Heart by Tracey Bateman.

Almost done with Beyond Sunrise by Candice Proctor.  She is a good writer.  I like the H and H in this one.  The Heroine is a travel writer and the Hero is a bad boy from Austraila.

Next up is The Sweet Gum Tree.

I finished Enchanting the Lady by Kathryne Kennedy - enjoyed it.

barely started Vicki Lewis Thompson's 6th Sons of Chance book - had to get to sleep this morning after work since I had to be up by 1 pm then got busy with stuff then took a nap! nice nap....now to get back to sleep. not sure if I'll stick with this one or switch to something a little tamer...have too many to pick from and more to pick up from the library...

still reading Cowboys LIke Us by Vicki Lewis Thompson - about halfway I guess. this book includes the author's first blaze I think - and it's much longer! NOtorious - not sure if I'll read that one or not - can't remember if I already have in the past...may check it out when I'm done. this non-cowboy and heroine are sure getting it on though!

I finished Just For Kicks (Showgirls, Bk 2) by Susan Andersen right before the weekend (not as good as the first one, but still enjoyable). Then the rest of my weekend was completely consumed with The Hunger Games (Hunger Games, Bk 1), and I'm just a few chapters away from finishing Catching Fire (Hunger Games, Bk 2). How on earth did these books sit on my TBR for so long? I really need to pace myself, though, for the sake of my emotions, so I won't be starting the third one until the end of the week. I have a really, really bad feeling about the outcome, and it's making my stomach hurt.

Finished Lord Langley's Back In Town (fine - rather predictable, but fun to read.)  I picked up Gail Carriger's Heartless (Parasol Protectorate 4) from the library and am loving it.  The world she has created is so clever.  I am just captivated again and thrilled to be 16 on the wish list for number 5.

I know, Melissa, I'm completely in love with it. I just finished the second one. I made the mistake this morning of opening up Mockingjay to just one page (I'm too impatient!), and it was probably the worst possible page to have glanced at, so I'm depressed as hell. But, I keep telling myself, things are never as they seem with this series, so there's still hope. Now to immerse myself in some mindless erotica to try to keep my mind off of Katniss, Gale and Peeta. So I'm cracking open Zeraac's Miracle (Fallon's Mates, Bk 2).

Melissa, highlight and read this (don't want to give away any potential spoilers): I had to laugh, because when I first started the series, I kept guessing as to who Katniss would end up with, and my guess was Cinna (I just liked their interplay). Then I went to IMDB to check out the movie cast, saw he was being played by Lenny Kravitz, and my theory was dead in the water, lol.

I'm still reading The Darkest Lie.  I have to admit that it's getting better.  I'm about halfway through and we're FINALLY getting some things explained (I get aggravated by too many questions and not enough answers!).  I like that there is more going on with the other Lords, too (Strider & Amun) and not just Gideon & Scarlet.

Currently reading a Intrigue from July 2011 called Cowboy Fever by Joanna Wayne.  It's the 4th book in the Sons of Troy Ledger series and since I didn't read the first 3 books, I know I'm missing something. But it's okay, I'm getting into it.  It has a "hidden baby" theme to it, which normally I can't stand, but I'm buying it for this book.

OK ya'll are killing me with the Hunger Games talk!  I bought the trilogy at BN for my Nook recently when they had it ridiculously priced so low.

I'm re-reading Lori Foster's Back in Black and also reading Janette Oke's They Call Her Mrs Doc.

I've been on a "historical romance" kick the last week.  Read "After All" and "Last Chance" by Jill Marie Landis and "Mistress' House" by Leigh Michaels.  Also, I've been doing a lot of research looking for re-releases on Kindle and here at pbs.   The problem with the re-leases on Kindle is, I must have associated may of the 80-90"s books by their cover.  They've changed their covers to look modern and I'm having a heck of time with my research!!...lol

Margy

Sherri, pick it up, pronto! It's amazingly good. Depressing, thrilling and emotional, but sooo good.

Melissa, I can't even say what happened on the page I opened to, because I really didn't read into it. I just read one sentence and snapped it shut, angry at myself. But then I couldn't stop thinking about it, so I quickly flipped to the back to appease myself. blush

I read a truly great ebook last night by Kitty Thomas, Tender Mercies. Very dark D/s. I would never be into that lifestyle myself, but I might give it a second thought if Asher were involved! I'm now reading Bound by Desire by Mackenzie McKade.

Gina, I read Comfort Food by Kitty Thomas and man, talk about DARK!  It was more a love slave (literally) thing than a romance, even beyond dom/sub.

I finally finished The Darkest Lie.  It turned out to be pretty good, at least the second half was.  I still don't love Gideon & Scarlet, and I'm not thrilled with the fact that Strider seems obsessed with Haidee, who is going to be Amun's heroine.  Talk about complications. lol  Anyway, I needed a book to read while waiting for dd at gymnastics so I brought Amun's story... The Darkest Secret.

I LOVE The Hunger Games but it's not a happy story. Can't say I am completely pleased with the ending but I am looking forward to the movie. I read the first 2 books twice....once when they each came out and once again before the 3rd book. They are keepers but I don't think I could ever read those again. They are just too emotional and intense. It's the series that convinced my sister that not all YA books are immature.

Right now I am reading Shaedes of Gray by Amanda Bonilla...it's good, I've just been so tired lately that reading almost seems a chore :(

ok I"ll be passing on Hunger Games - sounds too biting the nails for me!

I finished Cowboys LIke Us by Vicki Lewis Thompson - whoo -ee an exbaseball player turning cowboy - lotsa action in this one. Now I'm reading 2 - not sure how it happened but it did - an older Harlequin 'hostage to dishonour' by jessica steele (might fit one of the rt challenges I'm doing this fall) and Her Rodeo  Cowboy, a love inspired by Debra Clopton. Hostage to Dishonour is an old favorite - not the same now but used to be one of my top romances back when LOL! oh I remember now - I saw part of the cover and thought it was Mason's Ridge, another harlequin my mom really liked and I'd been thinking about her so picked it up off the stack then realized it was this one. there really is a method to my madness sometimes!

have a stack of books I'm really wanting to read like NOW but having to go one at a time..right now I'm focusing on Clopton's book and will hopefully finish. want to start a couple of Blaze titles I have too.

Just finished New York To Dallas by JD Robb. Not an easy read. The villain is a pedophile and Eve is back in Dallas. There's a lot of Eve and Roarke in this one, which I didn't mind.  It's not going to be a favorite, mostly because of the subject matter, but it was good MUCH better than most of the books I've read lately.

Oh, so was this one, Michelle (a love slave story). Although this one did have a romance angle that was actually kinda sweet. But the villain....whew! Some of it was hard to read.

Bound by Desire was OK. In the second story, I felt like I was reading about two different heroines, her personality changed so much in the second half of the book. Moving on to Making Babies.

Hunger Games = ya'll are not helping!  LOL   I'm going to save them though for now.  I have to have some surgery in November and I'll take my Nook with me and read it in the hospital.

I finished my re-read of LF's Back in Black.  I think it was even better the 2nd time around.  Still reading Janette Oke too.
