Stayed up late last night to read What She Needs by Lacey Alexander for a NYE Swap I was in.  It was okay, not a keeper. I had a love/hate relationship with the hero.  I just didn't agree with what he was putting the heroine through.  Also, the book was a bit rushed.  There are some things that just cannot be solved in 10 days!

I go back to work tomorrow so I know that my reading has to slow down.  I cannot believe how much I have read over the holidays!

Just finished an anthology by Lori Foster and Erin McCarthy - Out of Light Into the Shadows -- Enjoyed the Lori Foster/LL Foster stories  - the LL Foster story was about someone who controlled people's emotions - character featured in the first story as the brother of the female character - the first story was your basic romance the second witht he slight paranormal touch - there was yet a third story on the LLFoster website that was a brief romance for yet a third character.

Dang Willa hate when that happens. I am going to go ahead and finish out The Blades of the Rose series and read Stranger by Zoe Archer. I just finished Sarah MacLean's Ten ways to be adored when Landing a lord and it was pretty good.

I finished Carla Kelly's The Admiral's Penniless Bride and thoroughly enjoyed it.  Its a keeper.   I'm actually having a hard time writing a review that does it justice, at least in my opinion.

I also just finished Bear Necessities by Dana Marie Bell.  It was great too.  I'm 2 for 2 in 2011 - woot!

I'm reading Wedding of the Season by Laura Lee Guhrke. It's pretty enjoyable, but for some reason I'm lagging near the end.

I'm reading Lie With Me by Stephanie Tyler.  I love romantic suspense and I read her Blaze books and really enjoy her work.  I'm hoping to finish it today while my DH is on the road.

I finished BIG Temptation... parts of it I loved and parts of it I really hated.  I didn't love either of the characters, which makes it hard for me to enjoy a book.  Usually I'm either in love with the hero or rooting for the heroine, or both.

Now I'm reading Happily Ever After - a free Kindle for PC book.

I feel so guilty when I walk in my bedroom - all of my books on my bookshelf are glaring at me because I'm ignoring them.  lol

I'm just about finished with The Ranger by Monica McCarty.  Its pretty good but she can really drag out the "anticipation" factor until it gets a bit old.  Not sure what's next....but since the holidays are over, I'm guessing it might take me the better part of a week to read these last 80 pages sad

Need a gym book and I just can't decide! I feel like a light contemporary. Think maybe I'll try a Julie Ortolon.

Started Ortolon's... Falling For You? First in a series. Am a little dubious about the hero at the moment, but keeping an open mind.

I'm reading In Your Wildest Dreams by Toni Blake, and am kind of meh about it.  Not really into the whole high-priced hooker mystery thing, though the hero is pretty hot.  Will probably skim the rest, because I need to move on to Some Like it Scot by Donna Kauffman.  I put both books on my available list for the HSRVB, and since we should be starting a new round soon, need to get those read.  I have Promise Canyon on the way, so am going to want to read that ASAP.  Sigh...too many books,  and just like the guy from that Twilight Zone episode, not enough time!

I decided to ignore all of the new books that I want to read and started To The Limit by Cindy Gerard.  Today is my daughter's first day back to preschool after three weeks of Christmas break.  I plan to overdose on hot tea and books.  lol

I put ZA's Stranger on hold and read Laura Griffin's Unforgivable will post a review later on up on Goodreads. It was a good read, but I had some issues with it.

Happy New Year, gals! I forgot to watch this thread for the week! I was also off on vacation since before Christmas, and wasn't keeping up with my various threads. So here's my rundown for the past two weeks:

My Forever Love by Marsha Canham -- It was OK....the most interesting thing about the book was its virgin hero. He was a Crusader, therefore had taken his vows as a monk before he was excommunicated. I had never come across a Crusader in my reading before, and I found it very interesting.

A Christmas Promise by Shelley Bradley -- It takes A LOT for me to DNF a book, and I tried as hard as I could to finish it. Didn't happen. I was bored beyond tears.

Broken by Shiloh Walker -- Not as good as its predecessor, Fragile, but still a worthy read. There was a nice twist at the end, but you could sort of feel it coming.

Blush by Opal Carew -- Not much to like or dislike, really. Pretty run-of-the-mill erotica.

Love at First Bight  by Tymber Dalton -- I liked this one, until the giant twist at the end ruined it for me. And the writing often seemed juvenile.

And I started Strip Search by Shelley Bradley. She definitely writes better erotica than straight romance. It's moving kinda slow for me, though.

Am now reading the 2-for-1 The Eternal Highlander by Hannah Howell (The Night Rider) and Lyndsy Sands (The Highland Bride).  This will be my first book by Sands - I've seen her books around but have yet to reach for one.

Read Volume 2 of Agency of Extraordinary Mates -- an erotic anthology follow-up to Volume 1 - about an island where mates are found for paranormals -- Quite a disappointment after volume 1 -- don't think I'd follow-up with volume 3 unless anyone would recommend it.... Also reading Rhyannon Byrd's new paranormal -- Touch of Temptation - good, was looking forward to it, but since I haven't kept earlier ones in the series and there's been time between books, I have to pay closer attention to remember all the details and characters as new ones and plot changes continue to be introduced - not bad just a bit busy.
