New week!

I just finished the Black Hawk. Good, but not as good as the others/I'd hoped for.

I finished Into the Dark by Cindy Gerard.  It was Dallas & Amy's story and I really, really loved seeing them getting their HEA.  My full review is here.

I'm not sure if I'll stay on my Cindy Gerard streak and start the Elite Ops series or take a break & go for something else.

I dnf'd two short books today, Accomplished in Murder by Dara England and Lady Em's Indiscretion by Elena Greene.     Now I'm reading Coming Undone by Lauren Dane.  So far it's fabulous.

I read Love In a Nutshell, the new Janet Evanovich/Dorien Kelly book.  It was cute and sweet and a really quick read.  Some funny, laugh out loud moments you expect from JE.

Reading Outlawed! by B.J. Daniels, an Intrigue from Jan. 1995.  I can tell it's one of her earlier works based on the writing style.  It's still really good though.

Yesterday I re-read Hummingbird by LaVyrle Spencer.  I'd forgotten how good it was.  I'm hoping it will come out in ebook form in the future.  I was reading a hardcover version but the print was still hard on my eyes and, of course, I couldn't put it down.  smiley

Next up is Forever by Theresa Weir.  I'm so happy she has put so many of her books in e-book form recently.

Started Shadow's Stand by Sarah McCarthy. Haven't read any of the others, so hope I won't be too lost.

Finished The Suitor by Sandra Hingston. I was disappointed in the ending. Several of the characters made idiotic decisions at different times. Altogether, the ending was unsatisfying as well as not very believable.

I finished Coming Undone by Lauren Dane.  Loved it.  My favorite of that series so far.  Now I'm reading Nightfall by Ellen Connor.

Sherri - I loved that one, too.  Brody was sooooooooooo great.

I did continue with Cindy Gerard's Black Ops series... I read Show No Mercy and it was terrific!  I adored Gabriel , and Jenna was SO much more likable in this book than she came across in the previous book.  Her vulnerability where Gabe was concerned really softened her and made her an easy heroine to like.

After finishing that one, I started the next one - Take No Prisoners.  Man, I hate that it starts off with one of the main characters pretty much betraying the other... now they have all of THAT to work through before their HEA.  lol   I think I'm going to have to break down and do something I never do - order FIFO.  I have so many books on my TBR that I've held off on ordering any books except wish list books I REALLY want when they come available.  I'm really hooked on this series, though, and have all the books except #5.  lol   Not sure how that happened.

I finished The Phoenix by Rhonda Nelson and started The Keeper by same author - like her Blaze titles!

Finally finished Lori Wilde's INTOXICATING. Not especially hot for a Blaze, and wasn't really into the plot. Ended up giving it 2 stars.

Gonna take it off my Bookshelf and throw it in the GW bag. Now I have to concentrate on the Cody MdFadyen library books - had to renew two of them over the weekend.

You might be, Willa. If I remember correctly, Shadow's "predicament" begins at the end of the last book. It was a bit of a cliffhanger for him. That's a good series, though. I especially loved Caine's Reckoning. :)

I finished Hannah Howell's Beauty and the Beast yesterday and started Forever and Always by Lori Foster.

I finished Highlander for the Holidays- it was ok.  I am just not ever blown away by her books anymore- the first 3 or 4 books of the series were great, but the 2nd generation ones just don't do it for me.  I found this one to be pretty implausible, and I'm not even talking about the wizard/magic stuff.  There's this vague suggestion that the hero is dealing with some issues from  having been in Afghanistan, but nothing ever comes of that.  The heroine is a sassy gal who is fighting her way back to normalcy and recovering from a horrible attack, and I just felt that she trusted the hero way too fast/soon for someone who had suffered such a trauma.  Also thought the ending was weak.

I have started a book by a NTM author, Shannon Stacey, Undeniably Yours.  I'm not very far in but she seems like the type of contemporary author I usually like.

Been there done that Willa, we should get that put on a tshirt. :-)

Started Candace Proctor's Beyond the Sunrise and so far it has been pretty darn good. Kinda like across between African Queen meets Romancing the Stone in a 1900's sort of way. A good find, considering I have had it on my TBR forever and I only paid a buck for it.

Like Lesley, I just started Undeniaby Yours by Shannon Stacey, and I really, really like it! She provides a good twist on a tried-and-true storyline that works very well. I am glad I tried this new-to-me author, and cannot wait to read her other books.

I may have to check out Undeniably Yours... Of course I have so many books on my TBR shelf that I've sworn off ordering any more until I make a "good dent."  Snort.  Yeah, like I have that kind of self control!

Reading Shotgun Bride by LLM and I'm liking it, but I'm tired of the "she's not a nun"  "yes she is" stuff.  No, she's not and let's get over it, shall we?

I'm reading the 3rd in the Black Ops series - Whisper No Lies.  I'm probably going to overdose on Cindy Gerard, but these books are sooooooooooooooo good!
