Taking a small break from Western Romances and started Lora Leigh's Forbidden Pleasure.  I thought I'd read it before, but I guess not.  It doesn't seem familiar to me at all.  So far I'm liking it.

Forbidden Pleasure is one of hte first Lora Leighs I read! It's still a favorite of mine.

I'm still reading Ghouls, Ghouls, Ghouls by Victoria Laurie - these have started getting a bit darker IMO but I think I can get into the story..just tired on night shift so hard to focus on all that's going on and this one has a huge phantom or something that's overwhelming MJ and Heath both and tried to drive both over the cliffs - the producer for the tv show they're doing has disappeared as well.

After reading lots of contemporary anthologies for the holidays, I've been in the mood for some historical romances. I just finished The Devil to Pay by Liz Carlyle, which I liked (I tend to like Liz Carlyle books, but somehow they're never keepers for me). I'm now reading Tapestry by Karen Ranney. Enjoying it so far, but definitely darker than those anthologies I was reading a couple of weeks ago!

I'm still reading The Darkest Passion by Gena Showalter.  Slow going, partly because I'm not too into it and also because I'm not feeling well.  It's getting better, though (the book, not me...lol).

I am about 1/2 way through Ava Gray's Skin Heat and I am really loving it, but you really need to have read the prior book in order to get a better handle on Zeke, I love him, but I can see where some would have problems with his speech and the way he is.

Keri- That sounds interesting!  I put in a request at my library for the first book in the series.

Keri and Diana, I've really been loving Ava's Skin series--Skin Heat's in the mail to me; can't wait for it to get here!

Finished an anthology--Summer Brides, with stories by Susan Wiggs, Sheryl Woods, and Susan Mallery--cute, but nothing earth shattering :)

Loved it!! Ladies it was the best of the series so far and that is saying something, because I didn't think she could top the 2nd book. I heart Zeke. My review is up on GRs. :-) Diana and Fedora I hope ya'll like it as much as I did.

I finished Ghouls, Ghouls, Ghouls by Victoria Laurie. It was good - a dangerous phantom along with spirits who hadn't crossed over. A bit darker but I thought the mystery in this one was one of the best.

Just stated Angel's Peak by Robyn Carr. Haven't gotten too far into it but figured since she has 3 new ones out/coming out this year I'd better read the last 2 from last year!

I am reading The Forbbiden Rose by Joanna Bourne.  This is the 3rd book in her Spymaster series.  Slow starting but it is picking up.

I just picked up The Drifter by Lisa Plumley.  Great little romance.  Very well written and I like the premise.   Also, reading Kill the Shogun for a HF reading challenge.  Great little mystery, not too full of Japanese words to make it confusing.

I decided to read Highland Thirst by Hannah Howell and Lynsay Sands. It is veeerrry slow-moving, though decent. I definitely am liking Sands' story better than Howell's. Just a few pages left.

My 2011 Reading Challenge includes trying to finish Cherry Adair's T-FLAC series, so up next will be Kiss and Tell (Men of T-FLAC, Bk 2).

Finished In Your Wildest Dreams by Toni Blake, and it ended up being ok.  I almost put it down in favor of starting something else, but made myself keep going, and ended up liking it.  It's not my favorite by her, but it was alright.  Slow to start, but got better.

Now I've started Some Like it Scot by Donna Kauffman, and am only a chapter in.  Seems ok so far, for one of those "marriage of convenience" stories.

Reading a reprint of two of Carla Kelly's older stories - Miss Libby's London Merchant is the first one - cute but you have to read it closer to appreciate the story, includes a sideline about a brother with special needs after a brain injury, interesting --- Rec'd a Christine Feehan book --- Sea Storm pub date of 11/10 --- turns out its just a reprint of two of the early Drake Sister stories --- bummer. Also read Linda Howard, Cover of Night, OK - like the side romance of Creed and Neenah better than the hero/heroine - just cared about them more for some reason.

Finished Susan Donovan's Not That Kind of Girl and it was the best in the series, IMO.  Now I am reading Nalini Singh's Play of Passion.

I just finished the first three books of Lori Wilde's Club books (True Love Quilting Club, Sweetheart's Knitting Club, & First Love Cookie Club).  They were sweet, but the main characters took a long time to figure their stuff out.  I'm thinking Kate Pearce's Where Have All the Cowboys Gone is next.

Susanna - "Sweet" is for the weekends when hubby & kids are home.  "Hot" is for weekdays when they're gone to school & work.   All it took was my (then) 5  year old to look at the title of my book and say "I Love Bad Boys?  Mom, do you love bad boys?" for me to realize I had to be a little more circumspect with my reading choices.

Keri, what is the reading order for that series, if you don't mind me asking? I know I have a bunch of hers, but I didn't realize that she had any series......
