Read a Bound to You by Bethany Kane. She is a NTM author and this was a short, hawt read. I might have to pursue reading more of her in 2013.

Reading a silly freebie called Hook, Wine and Tinker for a challenge. Need to finish up my His Very Own Girl review.

I finally finished the Georgette Heyer. It was wrote back in the '30s and so it was difficult for me to get into, but eventually I did and felt like I was reading a Benny Hill scene, as everybody chases Dominick and Mary across France. It was kind of funny. Next up Pamela Morsi's The Lovesick Cure.

I started Courting Carolina by Janet Chapman, got 3 chapters in, and put it away.  I'm not sure if I'll go back to it.  I can't stand the heroine so far- she's just overly cheeky or something.  Also, why do all of Chapman's heroines lately have to be the damsel in distress with an attitude type?  Frankly it's getting old.  This one- don't get me started.  She's been kidnapped and brutalized by two men, but once the hero has rescued her, you'd never know she'd been traumatized at all- she's full of wide-eyed wonder at everything.  Blech.  Maybe I'll try and skim the rest later, but for now, I started The Rose Garden by Susanna Kearsley and was pulled in from the first page.  Love her books!

I am still reading A Game of Thrones (Song of Ice and Fire, Bk 1). I started it a week ago and am only halfway through it. It's not that it's not holding my attention or anything, it is. It's just LONG.

Finished with Midnight Scandals anthology with Carolyn Jewel/Courtney Milan/Sherry Thomas. Well the first two stories anyway. I'm saving the Sherry Thomas story for later.   Loved the CJ story.

Now I'm reading an Australian romance called Running Scared by Caitlyn Nicholas.  I just started it so the jury is out for now.

Started Deep Kiss of Winter. My current paranormals challenge is kicking my ass. It seems to be having that effect on a lot of people.

I am still reading A Game of Thrones (Song of Ice and Fire, Bk 1)

I am, too, Gina. I had it on my Nook but couldn't renew due to the wait list, so I ended up requesting the paperback copy which took about 10 days to arrive. Same thing happened with LOVER AWAKENED/Ward. Too many big books and couldn't finish them.

Now I'm winding up the J. R. Ward and will get back to the Martin one this weekend. Both are 21-day books with a 3-week renewal so that should give me plenty of time to polish them off. The Martin book is fantastic, and I was determined to finish it one way or another.

I'm almost done with Rock Chick. It's really more of an action book than a romance I think. It's good, just not really heavy on the romance, where the first two I'd read by her were definitely heavy on the romance. Which I love. I hope the rest of that series isn't like that. Gotta read a couple paperbacks after this. I'm trying to clear out some space.

Finished Pamela Morsi's The Lovesick Cure and that was just a real feel good straight contemporary romance.

I finished Untouched by Anna Campbell. It was different in that the guy was a virgin. I liked it even though it was a little more angst-y than I usually read.

I hope the rest of that series isn't like that.

The first one was definitely my least favorite of the Rock Chick series. There's plenty of action in the other ones, but the characters are so great, and the couples have pretty intense chemistry. Just wait until you meet the rest of the Hot Bunch, and of course, my favorite character of them all...Tex!

So I went home for lunch today to 6 wishlist books I was lucky enough to get ahold of sitting on my doorstep! Yay for me. Not helping with that whole "clearing out some space" thing I was going for though! LOL But I am reading one of those - Butterfly Tattoo by Deidre Knight. Only a couple pages in, but I like it already.

I'm 30 pages short of finishing LOVER AWAKENED - wow, what an intense installment! Then it's on to Sandford's new Virgil Flowers - the book that's due at the library. THEN on to A GAME OF THRONES. Toooooo much to read!

I gave a co-worker the Lisa Kleypas (SUDDENLY YOU) yesterday and she's almost finished. I didn't think she would be a fan of historical romances (she loves the Harlequin Presents I pass on to her) but she's loving the Kleypas and wants all the ones I read from now on.

Finishing up Deep Kiss of Winter. (The COle story -- not going to read the Showalter.) Quite good. I like that there's some tension in the "fated mate" relationship.

DNF Jaci Burton's Playing to Win.  I just couldn't stand the hero's attitude.  What a jerk!  I got about 75 pages in and then put it down.  I struggled with the last Burton book in this series, so I think this is just going to kill it for me.

Don't know what I'll read next.

DNF Running Scared by Caitlyn Nicholas.  Just wasn't feeling anything about that book.  So now I'm reading a Molly Harper book - Nice Girls Don't Have Fangs. (I think that's the name of it anyway)
