Review for Beauty and the Bounty Hunter:

Cat O'Banyon is a bounty hunter who uses every weapon at her disposal, including her body. As long as she gets her man that is all that counts with her. Two years ago, one evil man blew apart her world and she is determined to find him, one outlaw at a time. That is why she had to escape from Alexi Romanov, a grifter with blue eyes and unforgettable hands. He also taught her every trick she knew and saved her you might say. Alexi for his part, is also running from his past and who he is.

After he finds out that there is now a bounty on Cat's head, he is determined to keep her safe, whether she wants him to or not. Cat believes she is invincible until a bullet shows her the error of her ways. She knows her heart can't hold out with Alexi for long, as he sets out to show her that she can trust him with her secrets. Is he willing to trust her with his?

Going into this book, I thought it was going to be a light hearted book...it wasn't. It was a book with deep emotions, as two people try and find their way back to each other's hearts. Once you get their pasts, they are both heart wrenching, but both shine as they overcome their histories. Lori Austin is a NTM author and this won't be my last Austin book. I can't wait for Ethan's book.

Next up...I am not sure...I have so much to read, but I am thinking Kay Hooper's Haven. I haven't read her in awhile.

reposting for the right day lol

Finished the valkyrie book, it was a sweet YA....not sure if I would read any more. Last night I read Poison Princess by Kresley Cole and I loved it! Omg I want more Jackson lol I am almost mad I read it so soon, because now who knows when the next one will be out. It will be hard to pick what to read next. I don't want to be let down after a good book.

I'm finishing up Love's a Stage... awesome hero, but the first Sharon & Tom Curtis book I haven't loved. Then I need to finish up Echoes at Dawn and about 10 other books. :-\ I have too many different reading goals!

I am a little more than halfway done with Sugar Daddy, and am SO irritible because all I want to do is sit down and read it, and I have too much other freaking stuff to do!  Love love love it- almost wish I would come down with the flu or something so I could stay home from work and read the whole series!

LOL Leslie, wait until you get to Hardy's and Jack's books then you will REALLY be irritable because of interruptions with those sexy hunk of mens. Started Brenda Novak's When Lightning Strikes and I am telling you now Whiskey Creek isn't on par with Virgin River or Lucky Harbor. So far my rating is at 2.5 and hasn't budged and I am 1/2 way through it.

I'm reading Annabelle's Courtship by Lucy Monroe.

I finished Motorcycle Man today and I think that that and Mystery Man are my favorites out of that series.

Up next is Pleasure Unbound, a series I decided I needed to read after reading the first of the horseman books.

I'm cleaning out the TBR but actually got sucked into reading most of Fire Song by Catherine Coulter. Crazy old skool. Now trying to read a Presents, but it's not really grabbing me. Oh well, one less book in the TBR...

I am reading Covet by JR Ward. Loving it. So glad I finally started that series.

Lesley, that whole series is just awesome. But if I had to rate them 1-3, Sugar Daddy would be the 3. Just sayin. wink

I finished it!  I stayed up way too late last night for it being a work night, but had to see how it ended up.  Loved the book!  But I have to say I am a little surprised- (spoiler ahead) I really thought she would end up with Hardy in the end.  Not that I was disappointed in Gage, but all that buildup between her and Hardy and then...well, they didn't even get to have sex once.  And I already read the back of the next book and see that he hooks up with Gage's sister, which seems a bit awkward, but ok.  I'm starting it next, of course- glad to know it is at least as good as the first one!

I finished two KAs: Wild Man and Law Man. Both were great, though I really have to give KA a break because all of the stories are running together in my head. Her stories are so similar, but the differences are all so good and the characters so engaging I don't even care.

I am now reading The Courage to Love (Brothers in Arms, Bk 1) by Samantha Kane.

Finally got around to reading Whispers in the Dark by Maya Banks.  I've had NO reading time this week due to some issues at work spilling over into my free time.

About halfway through Ravishing the Heiress by Sherry Thomas, an excruciating gut-puncher. Kind of like A Civil Contract by Georgette Heyer, but much more emotional.

Almost finished with Love in Exile by Samantha Kane and next up will be Seducing Cinderella by Gina Maxwell (although I don't think it is much like the fairy tale lol) and I have Lustfully Ever After by Kristina Wright and Sylvia Day that I just got from the library.

I have been on such a fairy tale kick lately, Kill Me Softly (a YA which was ok), Cinder (another YA which was good), The First Book of Grimm (erotica which I really liked). I found the original Grimm Fairy Tales and Grimm Fairy Stories on Amazon for free but I haven't had a chance to read them yet.

If anyone knows of any other titles, please let me know. smiley

Edited to fix links

Cyndi, Little Red and the Wolf was pretty good I thought.

Finished Covet. Loved it. Loved Vin. There was sure a lot of building in this one. Setting the scene for this book/series as well as setting up for the future books in the series. I really liked it though.

I'm reading Lip Lock by Susanna Carr. I'm not quite halfway into it. I like how he's reading her so well already and knows everytime she's lying to him. It's funny.

I am now halfway through Blue-Eyed Devil...I just cannot put these books down.  Some of the subject matter in this book is a bit difficult to read about, but very compelling.

I agree with you there Lesley. Once you get past that part (about the first half), it gets better though. And it gets really good once she meets Hardy again. wink

Finished Thea Harrison's Lord's Fall. Loved it! Can't get enough of Dragos and Pia. Look like we have some explosive coupling coming up.

I finished Lip Lock and I liked it. I've got a couple other Susanna Carr's on my tbr, so I'll be looking forward to those.

I'm reading Ravishing the Heiress. I didn't realize it was by Sherry Thomas until I saw the blurb on the cover about "from the author of Private Arrangements". Then it clicked, this book is so very much like that one. So far at least. They keep flipping back and forth between now and then. And it's just heartbreaking. My God.
