I'm reading an old Kathleen Eagle category, can't remember the name. Kind of bland. She's amazing sometimes, but definitely not always.

I'm reading Maya Banks.  I think it's Echoes at Dawn?   Grace and Rio's story.

Finished RL Mathewson's Without Regret, the 2nd in her Pyte/Sentinel series. At times I loved the book, just felt there were a few missing details that should have been brought out by Izzie to Chris...like a frying pan to his alpha stupid head. 3.75 stars, but am looking forward to see where she is taking the overall story line. Some really sexy heros that I am looking for their story.  Also almost finished with Stephanie Lauren's A Rogue's Proposal.

Maya Banks' KGI series - yes! I read Grace and Rio's story a couple of weeks ago and liked it.

Never seduce a Scot - the highlander historicals? not so much.

Started Tessa Dare's Surrender of a Siren, the 2nd in her Wanton Dairymaid trilogy and so far it has been cute and very different with the setting.

Just finished Kissing Steel by Laurann Dohner, short but I really liked it. Next up is Alcadian Rage by Mary Wine.

I just finished The Scent of Rain and Lightning by Nancy Packard.   Not especially a romance but there is a HEA.  One of the first mystery type books I have read that I didn't have a clue.   4.75*

Finished Eighty Days Yellow yesterday. This is a hard book to judge. On one hand, I liked the plot enough that I would continue with the series. On the other, I couldn't connect with the characters AT ALL. Plus, the constant switch between first- and third-person voices was distracting.

I haven't read a Shannon McKenna in ages, so I decided to pick up Tasting Fear.

I'm about halfway through Smooth Talking Stranger, and so far it is at least as good as the first two books.  I"d like to finish it, but have too much going on!

Finished Rogue Rider. It was enjoyable, but the pacing was a bit off, I thought. Characters were well drawn.

I'm reading an anthology.... can't remember the name!  I started it a few weeks ago & read the Nalini Singh story, then put it down.  I skipped one story (Angela Knight)  and am reading one by Virginia Kantra (a NTM author).  I'm not loving it, but haven't really had time to enjoy reading this week.

I've been racing through some shorties. I always buy these stories by Viola Grace and then whine that they are so short. But they are perfect for short rides in the car! So I've read a few of those, a few Elayne Venton, those were not too bad. Viola Grace tends to ignore things like correct punctuation, which is mildly irritating.

Trying to get through The Duke is Mine by Eloisa James, I don't like the style. It's not as good as the previous books in the series.

My Kindle lending book of the month is Dead Spots by Melissa Olson, and so far, so good.

Reading another loaned book which is very long historical m/m, The Red King by Rosemary O'Malley. It is good, but very long.

Captives by Aubrey Ross...the sample was good so I got the book, as it was only $2.49. Now have to finish it.

Breeding Ground by Jaid Black, really interesting. Although travelling forward in time over a hundred million years is a bit of a stretch, even for science fiction.

And then still reading Running With the Demon by Terry Brooks, and still pretending to read Storm Front by Jim Butcher. I don't know if I'll get back to that one.

Started an Alison Kent today, what a boring beginning. I started something else that was boring too. lol.

Which one will I read in bed tonight? Hmmm? Maybe none. Football game is on.

Finshed Tangle of Need. It was great. I love that we got so much of Hawke and Sienna!

Now on to Feehan's Dark Storm. I havent read the last several of the Carpathian books. Got tired of same old same old. I do remember i liked them when i first started them though, so hopefully now that its been awhile I will enjoy this one. If im not lost with the gap in between books. lol

Reading Secret Desires of a Gentleman by Laura Lee Guhrke. Another ntm author. It's good. He's an ass but I'm sure he'll come around.

Started Brenda Novak's When Snow Falls and at times this has been a wall banger for me. Chey is so wishy washy...it makes it hard to like her. Love Devlin and Joe though. Also reading Krelsey Cole's Lothaire again....I needed an IAD fix and I love Ellie and Lothaire's sparring so much that I felt a reread was in order.   LK's STS is one of my favs as well...I adore Jack!

I'm trying to clear out my currently reading shelf, so went back to Angelfall. Don't know why I stopped reading it, I guess it was because it was for an online read and I didn't feel like keeping up with the schedule.

Finished the Guhrke book. Loved the ending. He did indeed redeem himself.

Now I'm reading another historical (hmmm, is this 3 in a row?) - Thief of Shadows by Hoyt. One of my favorite authors.

Started Kristen Ashley's The Gamble this morning. Loving it, of course!

I got through most of Thief of Shadows yesterday. Loving that too! Winter is amazing. I never would have imagined the man beneath the mask, so to speak. It's always the quiet ones... lol Keri, I absolutely agree. I loved the Princes trilogy and I am loving this one too! I know alot of people didn't really care for the second book because of the "cheating" aspect, but it's among my favorites in this series, along with Silence and Winter's stories. I need to read the third in the Soldiers series too. Beguiling the Beast I think. That one's supposed to be very good too, it's on the AAR Top 100 Romances list. I do wish they'd update that list, it's several years old.

I agree Tonya about needing to update that list. But I am two away from finishing that goal for the year. I love all of Hoyt's books. She just doesn't write a bad book, at least IMO. I wish I had another of hers to read, but I have read them all...darn it.
