I finished A Soldier's Family by Cheryl Wyatt in her Wings of Refuge series(love inspired) so far I really like this series. no sex since it's a christian publisher but I've laughed and cried ..a little sappy in places but overall a series/author I'm liking!

may continue or take a quick break and knock out a library book or 2...dunno though since I'm liking this series pretty well!

A SLICE OF MURDER by Chris Cavender - first in this new series. Good, not great, but entertaining. It's nice to be in on a new series at the beginning. I always seem to stumble over a series around book #10 and have to do a lot of back pedaling. Actually have the 2nd book, also from the library. Hehehehe, at least I'll have one series "completed" over at fictfact.com. cheeky

Think I'm going to give up on The Secret Duke. It just gets more and more meandering.

Currently reading Miranda Neville's Never Resist Tempation. So far it has been good, doesn't blow me away like her other book did, but not bad.

I started Happy Ever After this morning.  I love that Mal doesn't take any crap from Parker.

I'm next in line at the library for it, looking forward! Also, I should be getting Cassandra Clare's latest today!

I'm reading My Darling Caroline by Adele Ashworth. It's kind of enjoyable although I feel like Ashworth uses too many words (sometimes oddly) to get her point across, and despite constantly telling me how much of a "superior intellect" her heroine has, I'm just not seeing it. I think in all regards the author is trying too hard, but the story is entertaining.

I'm about halfway through To the Edge of the Stars by Joyce Henderson and its ok so far.  I'll probably finish it tonight.

On a side note - a  bad one for me LOL - I figured out how to load the Kobo books onto my Nook.  It was downloading them as .acsm even though it said .epub on the website.  Finally figured out how to link my Nook to Adobe Digital Editions via my desktop and whammo - I've added 20 more books to my Nook.  yes

On to Slightly Married by Balogh.  I read the 2 prequels about a month ago, and took a break, now onto the remaining 6, granted, I probably won't go straight through.

I'm reading a Christmas anthology, Twas the Night and suprisingly, I'm enjoying it. Actually it's more like one continuous story about 3 different guys written by 3 different authors. It was also free for Kindle and I'll go check and see if it still is.

I didn't bother to get that one, since I don't like anthologies, but now I think I will.

Tried to read Christmas Eve at Friday Harbor by Lisa Kleypas but could not get into it.  It's a short read (211 pages) and it just seemed that there wasn't the character development that I have come to expect from LK.  I gave up around page 70.  Since it was a library book it didn't cost me anything.

Currently reading the Blaze I'll Be Yours For Christmas by Samantha Hunter for a swap.

I finished Wedding Bell Blues by Meg Benjamin- it was ok.  Liked Venus in Blue Jeans better.  Then I started Destiny Unleashed by Sherryl Woods, but am feeling like I missed something...like it's part of a series and I'm coming into the middle of it.  So I stopped that and am going to start The First Love Cookie Club by Lori Wilde.  I picked it up on a whim yesterday at Target, and I really shouldn't have...it's not like I don't have a huge TBR already  But I was in the mood for a Christmas romance and didn't have any on my TBR, so that's how I justified it, lol.  I don't think I've read this author before so am looking forward to seeing how I like her.

Finished To the Edge of the Stars by Joyce Henderson. It was just ok.  Nothing I'd recommend - very average.  Now I'm reading Holiday Bound by Beth Kery.

I decided to just follow through with the entire Children of the Sea series. Finished Sea Fever and Sea Lord. Fever was meh. I felt no connection to the characters whatsoever. Lord, however, was fantastic. Even though it was the tiniest bit predictable.

Right now, I'm finishing up Kantra's short story in Burning Up before starting the last book written in the series (so far).

I just finished "A Highlander Homecoming", Book 6 of Melissa Mayhue's "Daughters of the Glen" series. This is a Highlander series that includes time travel and the "Fae".  I am loving this series and will be very sad when it ends.

Another "Highlander" series I enjoyed was Janet Chapman's Highlander series.  This included time travel in the beginning to get them here and some of the books include the use of magic.  All in all, I loved the series.  Unfortunately it looks like she is done with it.

I finished Beth Kery's Holiday Bound and it was good.   Especially since it was free - LOL.

Also read another freebie  - Slow Ride by Lorelei James.  Good but very short.

Going to read Trey by Cat Johnson now.,

I finished Happy Ever After.  I loved it.  Actually made me teary in places.  One.... complaint... I guess, was that it seemed to be more Parker's story than Parker & Mal's romance story.  The romance seemed secondary to the whole overall story of Vows, Parker, etc.  As easy as Nora Roberts made it to dislike Parker in these books, I was (pleasantly) surprised to find that the "friction" between her and Mal was actually caused by him and his issues, not her.  That was unexpected but well done.  I'm sorry to see this series end.

Not sure what's next.  I'm trying to ignore every single book in this house for a day or two because my mom & her boyfriend are coming on Thursday and I have NOTHING ready.  Nothing cleaned, nothing put away, nothing organized, etc.  I'm supposed to be doing that today, but so far nothing.  Ugh.

Just started J. K. Beck's When Blood Calls.  Good so far...am looking forward to reading the next 2...but for some stupid reason I bought book 3 before I got book 2.  Wondering if book 2 is still out on the (Target or Wal*Mart) shelves?????  Since all 3 are available now, I of course want to read them all back-to-back.  Peeking at the back of book 3, I noticed the every popular "Coming soon...." for the 4th in the series.  I'm sure that means 6+ months.  Damn publisher's calendars.indecision
