If you like a tortured and injured hero and a less than perfect heroine, then I would highly recommend Redemption by Carolyn Davidson. Most enjoyable.

Still reading Unhallowed Ground by Heather Graham.  Very good so far.  If you've ever visited St Augustine, FL this is a great book.

Any Man of Mine - Rachel Gibson.  I'm not really sympathetic to the hero or heroine.  I'm hoping they will be more likeable as the story goes on.

Catalogued a box of books through the day. Saw a LOT of books I really want to read soon. Like this is going to happen any time soon. surprise Gotta stop with the library stuff already.

Currently reading a Laura Matthews trad Regency and finishing up my yearly read of LORD OF SCOUNDRELS. Listened to Macomber's FAMILY AFFAIR on CD yesterday.

Finishing up Dreams of a Dark Warrior. Oh the heartbreak! Love it! Have about a gazillion library ebooks to read next.

Kresley Cole's Vampire Mine - I like the angel angle (LOL). She lost her wings and wants to go back to heaven; the big bad vampire thinks he is bound for hell anyway, so they can';t get together... it's nice.

I read Jaci Burton's The Perfect Play.  I wanted to love it.  The story could have been great, Mick was a sexy football hero and Tara could have been likable as a small business owner raising her teenaged son by herself.  Unfortunately there was something missing - some intensity or some emotions or some heat or something.  I thought the conflict over Tara not wanting to be thrust into the spotlight with Mick was believable, and even the final straw that caused them trouble was ok, but the writing just left something to be desired.

I think you mean Kerralyn Spark's Vampire Mine? Sounds interesting, I put it on order at the library. Though I haven't read any of the others, maybe I'd be lost?

Went back to Navarro's Promise by Lora Leigh... didn't start out well, but seems to be holding my interest for now.

Betsy, Any Man of Mine never got any better for me.  It has to be my least favorite RG, and I LOVE her books.  I just never bought that the H was going to stop being a playboy.

I'm reading Phillipa Ashley's Dating Mr. December.  It's a quick read and so far, pretty good.  I also have Lover Avenged (BDB #7)  & Shiloh Walker's Broken started.  Neither is holding my interest.  Especially Lover Avenged.  That series just gets harder and harder to get through with each book.

I just finished Madeline Hunter's Dangerous in Diamonds.   I have enjoyed the series, but I liked Castleford better when he was a a$$hat.

I like Kerrelyn Sparks' series - you see the characters from book to book so you won't have this vampire's background and miss part of Roman's histor with the malcontents which continue in all the books so far. I enjoyed the book though the first, 3rd and 4th are still my favorites esp 1 and 4! I like Lynsay Sands' vampire series too. my favorite 2 series so far! I still have Kresley Cole's series - only read the first one.

I just finished Jennier Cruisie's newest - Maybe This Time.   Loved it!   It's not your usual light-hearted Crusie story - although it has its funny moments.    No, instead this is a juicy haunted house ghost story wrapped around a "reunited lovers" romance.   Sometimes it was downright spooky and sent chils up my spine.    See my full review on the book description page.

I bought some ebooks from Allromanceebooks and I've been plowing thru those.  Karen Erickson's Playing With Fire trilogy.  I've read the first two and now I'm onto Scandalous.  They're all M/M/F books.  HEAs with only one M and one F so far though.

I just finished Any Man of Mine by Rachel Gibson and I will say that I liked it.  I didn't care for her last book, Talk of the Town I think it was called, so this one was much more enjoyable.  I did have the same problem with the Hero being a playboy and the Heroine not wanting to get over things that were in the past and not changable, but overall I gave it 4 stars.  One of the few books that has a kid in it and I liked it.  Usually if kids are in the books I don't care too much for them but this one was different.

Diana, I've been debating on reading that one myself.  I think I've only read one other Gibson book, though I can't remember which one it was, and found it just ok.  I keep wondering if I should give her another chance though.  I'm glad to see your review of it, since our tastes are similar, so maybe will try this one.

I am still on Devereaux's Lavender Morning- I was too busy over the long weekend to read, but hope to finish this week, as I'm about 2/3 through.  It's ok.  Kind of slow in parts, and I find myself getting frustrated with the unraveling of the mysterious secret because it seems to keep stalling.  Not to mention the romance- 2/3 through the book, and the hero and heroine are still pussyfooting around each other.  Argggh.  After this will probably be one of the 2 of Shalvis I have on my TBR.

Got a couple of books read this weekend,

Tsunami Blue by Gayle Ann Williams (good read) Apocalypse Happens (Phoenix Chronicles, Bk 3) by Lori Handeland and another book that I haven't revealed in a swap yet.

About half way through

Chaos Bites (Phoenix Chronicles, Bk 4) by Lori Handeland IMO this one is the best of the series

Just popping in for a quick "mini review" of Kiss of Snow.  Have you ever read a book so good that it literally made you weak in the knees?  If you've read Slave to Sensation, Kiss of Snow is like that, only on crack.   wink

Back to reading.........

Kiss of Snow is Hardcover! Is that the first one? The paper back doesn't come out until Nov. 1 - bummer! Now that you got us all drooling...
