Just finished Susan Dovovan's I Want Candy, the 2nd book in her sweet series and it was a fun read. Touched on some hard hitting subjects, but lightly. My review is up on GRs. Not sure what I am up for next, might be a Virgin River as I have two of the latest to read.

I finished Janet Chapman's Mystical Warrior.  I had such high hopes for Trace's story... nothing like a surly, grumpy, committment-phobic ex-military alpha guy.  Unfortunately the book was a dud.  I didn't get his romance with Fiona at all and I really only forced myself to finish it so I could keep reading the series.

Still on Tangle of Need. Would have loved to have finished it last night but sadly I can't function on no sleep. I am kinda scared to pick it up tonight because I have to get up for work tomorrow.

I still have the same 2 books started - loose & easy and whatever the lastest VR book is - and from  the discussion last week's thread - well someone has to stay in those cabins darn it - the guy has to stay in VR! I just don't understand how jack and preacher stay in business unless teh entire town is full of alcoholics..

I pretty much gave up on VR after Vannie ruined the series for me.  Still have the first 3 on my keeper shelf though.

Started Pleasure Unbound for Super Wendy's TBR challenge -- catch up on a series. It's actually book 1, but since I read the books in the spin-off, I think that counts. ;-)

I know I need to give them up Sherri, but I am just can't yet. I have them all, but the first 3 are still the best. I just finished Sharon Sala's Next of Kin and this could have been a great RS, but instead was just ok. The love scenes were phoned in and extremely vague, but the suspense was pretty good.

I was going to start All of Me by Lori Wilde, but on reading the first page of it, realized that it is part of a series of which I have not read the previous books.  Arrghh!  So instead I am going to start Baby Drive South by Stephanie Bond.  Which I double-checked *IS* the first of its series.

(Off to go figure out which books I need in that Lori Wilde series..)

Over the weekend I read Drink of Me by Jacquelyn Frank. It was good but it's a shame it's a stand alone book because she spent so much time building the world. I also read the first Midnight Breed book. It was okay, hopefully they'll get better. Now I'm reading Dragon Bound by Thea Harrison. I've just started but so far so good.

I'm reading an older Nora Roberts... not even sure what the title is - it's a book that has two stories in one.  Duets or something like that.  You can definitely tell it's not recent, but I was overwhelmed by my TBR - so many books I want to read and so many series I need to start, that I just grabbed any old thing that I didn't know anything about.  lol

Over the last few days I read Contact by Susan Grant, a sci fi romance.  Really good with a kick ass heroine.

What an absolutely stunning book Dmitri and Honor's story was. I didn't think that NS could top Raphael and Elena's story, but she did. Sherri if you haven't started this series, OMGosh you are in for some great reads!

I finished Dragon Blood. Wow, what a great book! I'm not sure whats next, I have more library books, but now I'm interested in Angel's Blood, which I would get on Kindle or a Lisa Marie Rice book, also on Kindle. We'll see, my cheapness may win out.

Sherri, I really liked Contact. I like SG's books but sometimes they lack romance. Really good stories though.

I'm still reading robyn carr'sl atest - not exciting but oh well it's ok. I'm not wild about Conner but didn't like him much in his own book!  temptd to read the end and see what all happens but I"m not too far from there anyways  maybe 100 pages or less. kinda ticked off at a recent scene at Jack's though

not sure what I'll read after this. been raining off and on today - hope it's not on the drive to work tomorrow. 2 days then instead of lazing around the house I'll laze around at my friend's - gonna load up the doggies and make the 3 hr trip she wants to quilt so we shall see what happens.

Keri, I'm going to start it in the next few days if it kills me!

Today I read a short one called A Kiss for Luck by Kele Moon.  A friends to lovers story.  Not bad for free!

You are going to love it! I read the ending of AB twice today, just cause it was that good. I also am about 75% done with Kristen Ashley's At Peace and while I get why people are going gaga over the book, the editing or should I say the severe lack of pulls me out of the story time and time again. The length is also the issue. This could have been such an incredible read to me with just a bit of editing. Now I know alot of my friends are just kookoo for cocopuffs over this book and I wanted to be that way about it too, but I can't help how I feel about it. Lets see how it ends.

About halfway through with Pleasure Unbound and hope I get it finished by tomorrow for TBR challenge day. I don't think it's as good a story as the Riders of the Apocalypse series, but pretty good.

Finished PU, really enjoyed it. Steamy, but the story was good too.

Susanna, I completely agree about the scene at Jack's Bar. If I didn't already not like Conner, I would REALLY dislike him now. What a jerk! I didn't like him in his book either. I am close to the end though, and looking forward to the next book - I liked the intro to the next male lead in this book, and I've liked Nora since her appearance a few books ago. But Conner, no thanks!

Just read Brother's of the Absinthe Club books 1 and 2 by Emma Wildes. HOT HOT HOT. Took me 2 days to read both. Couldn't put them down. These are the first erotica books I have ever read, so if someone knows of another good author of erotica please let me know.  I'm in. Thanks, Susie

Welcome to the Erotica club, Susie.  There are a lot of great authors out there and everyone has different favorites based on what you like (menage, BDSM, m/m, etc).  I would have to say some of my favorites are Maya Banks, Lora Leigh and Lorelei James.  Please drop by and visit us at the Den of Sin (under Games in the Discussion Forums), you'll get tons of opinions and reviews.

I'm struggling my way through Redwood Bend, it's not holding my interest very well and I'm hoping it picks up soon.

I'm reading the Melrose Place of vampire stories otherwise known as the BDB Lover Revealed. Seriously, it reminds me of a soap, but so much better. Which book has John Matthew's transformation in it? He's really the only one I'm interested in after this book.
