Been reading a lot lately, some of it good like Jill Sorensons Freefall, Certie Lyns Leave Me Breathless. In the wish it could have been better category was Sarah Mccartys Caleb, had so much potential to b good. Currently I am climbing on board the rock chick train and giggling my way through Rock Chick!

started a christian romance ebook - pride, prejudice and cheese grits- forgot the name she wrote under but it's pretty good so far (about 9% into it) I've read a love inspired by the same author and it was good so decided to read this one. needed an erotic romance break LOL!

Been reading Robyn Carr's Grace Valley trilogy. Just finished the first one - good but sorely lacking any real romance!

Yeah Keri!  You will love that series!

I read over half of An Ambush of Tigers by Mandy Monroe, before I just could not force myself to read One More Word. It was terrible. Which is a strange thing to say, considering that I like the author's Kaitlyn O'Connor books!

I am reading Nighborn by Lynn Viehl, and also just started The Thief of Mardu by Marie Harte. Both of them have good starts. What an amazing difference, to read books that are actually GOOD after reading a complete bomb.

I'm reading Fire Inside by Kristen Ashley.  Wow - it didn't take KA long to get me on the Hop bandwagon.  Woohoo!  Loving it.

Yay! Such a fun series. I'm going through KA withdrawal...and Michelle just reminded me that I now have the perfect reason to pick one up!

In the meantime, though, I'm reading one of my Passionate Plumes entries, Screw Me Once by Maggie Montgomery.

I just finished Thoughtless by SC Stephens. Wow. I can certainly understand why so many didn't like Kiera. Normally, a cheating aspect in a book doesn't bother me too much. But dragging that situation out the way she did was just cowardly and selfish.  And Kellan... how could you not absolutely fall for him??!

I read Molly Harper's How to Flirt with  a Naked Werewolf yesterday.  It was cute!  Now I have to wait for the rest of the series.

Michelle, it makes me crazy when someone has an ARC of a book I can't wait to get.  Patience is definitely NOT my strong suit.

I finished The Wanderer by RC.  It was ok, definitely not up to VR standards.  It took way too long to set the scene and introduce the characters- a third of the way into the book, the hero and heroine hadn't even met yet.  Did RC forget that she's writing a romance, or is she perhaps veering off into WF with this series?  Hard to tell.  Cooper was not my ideal of a hero- too aloof and didn't really seem to care all that much about what he was doing with his life.  I think RC was going for strong and independent with Sarah, but to me she came off as a bit stoic and bitter in the beginning.  I didn't really buy it when they finally got serious.  I was way more interested in the Mac/Gina story than Coop and Sarah.  As far as the setting, she did a decent job of depicting the southern OR coast.  But it caused me near physical pain to have her refer to Oregon State University as "State"- nooooooooo one says that here!  It's either Oregon State, or OSU.  (Not to be confused with "Oregon", which is University of Oregon.)  She could have researched that better.  Geez, she's from CA, which is not that far away, it shouldn't be hard.

I'm starting Shannon Stacey's All He Ever Dreamed next.

For some reason I'm re-reading some of Feehan's Dark series, mainly the first ones. I'm on Dark Fire right now. I have plenty of other books to read, I can't really explain why I'm in the mood for this.

Rebecca, I do that all the time!  My TBR is ridiculously large, but I will pick something off my keeper shelf a couple of times a week.

I finished Checkmate, and it was SO FUNNY. I've loved the whole series, I'm hoping the author is planning to continue with it.

Now going to start Madeline Sheehan's Unbeautifully (Undeniable bk 2).

Renee - Patience is NOT my strong suit, either.  Which is why I don't even pay attention to release dates for books, because then I get mad when I don't have it.  LOL    I got Fire Inside from Netgalley.  Hop is NOTHING like what I pictured from Motorcycle Man.  Total YUM!

Melissa RL is for sure going to put out books in the series. She also intends to put out a historical NFH book which I think would be hilarious! I love her Pyte series just as much have u read any of those? In June she is coming out with a Darkest Heart series, not sure what it is going to be about... I think it is about a guy in anger management. The excepts have been very few.

That made my day!  I haven't read the Pyte series. Its PNR isn't it? I don't really pick up new pnr these days. I follow all my faves, but that's about it. Now a series about a guy in anger management....with this author's sense of humor? That could be freakin awesome!!!

Melissa, her Pyte series is PNR, but I love it. Her EMS series is good, but so far she only has 1 book in the series, but the 2nd is in the works. Her Hollywood Hearts series is ok, but I am not in love with it.

Black Heart (Cursed Hearts Series #1)

Here is the new series on GRs.

There was something seriously wrong with Marty. That was the only explanation that she could come up with. Why else would she feel this way for the biggest SOB in town? Granted, he was also the hottest man in town, but he was also arrogant, callous, and determined to drive her away even as he drove her crazy with his touch. She should just walk away from him and probably would if it wasn’t for this connection that she’d always had with him that kept making her want more with the one man that couldn’t give her anything more than heartache.

He should have left and never looked back when he’d decided to finally do the right thing and push Marty out of his life, but instead he stuck around to torture himself by staying close to the one woman that he could never allow himself to have. She deserved better than him, better than the tortured existence that he led and better than the horrifying future that waited for him.(less)
