I just finished Ghost Hunter by Jayne Castle, part of the Harmony series. I was trying to decide whether or not to take a break and read Single Sushi by Camy Tang or continue with this series and read Silver Master. Both sound good but I think I'll try Silver Master and see how it goes.

I'm reading Tempt Me If You Can by Janet Chapman.  I'm not loving it yet, but I usually enjoy her books so I'm hoping it'll get better.

Finished Lee Child's Gone Tomorrow. I will give an more indepth review over on the Thriller/Suspense thread. I am staring Eloisa James Duchess In Love. I waited as long as I could, as these are the last 4 books of hers that I have left. I am only pins and needles for A Kiss at Midnight to come out.

I just finished the third of Jasmine Creswell's Raven series.  I liked them all.  They are an easy read and just enough angst to keep them interesting.

I just finished reading Dark Lover by JR Ward.  This is my first read of hers and I enjoyed it.  I didn't think I would.   So....who wants to take pity on me and post me some BDB books?  ;-)  LOL

Thinking of starting Cheyenne Bride by Laurie Page next.

so which is better Sherri? psy-changelings, briggs, or BDB? I have these in my tbr...along with Kresley Cole's series. my coworker of course has devoured not only what I had but found more at her library and she liked all but she couldn't pick either..she did tell me the psy and BDB were darker than I'd probably usually read..she likes humor but also a good story(like Aiken and Laurenston's stuff and Lynsay Sands/Kerrelyn Sparks) but she likes a great storyline and said she liked all 3 for the good storylines.

ok in spite of being busy at work last night I managed to finish Silver Master by Jayne Castle..part of the Harmony series. I think it was a matter of being bored with the internet and really needing something to focus on when not working. It was large print from the library so was easier to read. I started the next book, Dark Light, but only got about 30 pages or so into before turning out the light..dont' remember turning over either so must've been super-tired! I think I'm gonna have to get these for my  keeper shelf(like what's NOT on my keeper shelf huh?) but Krentz is a favorite of mine.

I have Dark Light and Obsidian Prey left in this series or at least that's where my library stops! I keep thinking about pausing and going to one of my otherlibrary books or reading an Anne Stuart since that's the only RT challenge I have left, but I'm just in  ghost hunter/dust bunny mode...I have the first 2 Bug Man mysteries (2 in 1 volume at the library), The Sheriff's Surrender by Susan Davis, and 3 Sushi titles by Camy Tang?something like that..not sure of her name darn it! and all sound SO good! wish I could just read all day but I"m lucky that on nights and weekends of day shift I can read between work if it's not 'balls to the wall' busy..dayshift not so lucky.

I finished the last of the Wulf series, The Cursed One. It was good even though the ending was a little disappointing. It was kind of unrealistic, but oh well. I can see where she was setting up for other books and I'm sad she didn't get to do them. These 3 were good though!

I picked Eclipse Bay back up and I don't even remember it a little bit, so it's like it's brand new to me.

Just finished a re-read of Whitney My Love, by McNaught the one published in the 80's before the re-edited P,C, version.   I enjoyed it and realized that they shouldn't edit for political correctness IMO.  It is a Bodice Ripper written and published at the end of that era  let the story stand on it's own.   Can you imagine a P.C. version of Gone With The Wind?

Jerelyn, what was the major difference in the un PC version?  Was the loss of virginity scene toned down in the newer version?  That's one part I thought "how's he gonna make up for this?"

Oh no doubt at all - Briggs.  They're my new crack. LOL

I MAJORLY skimmed Cheyenne Bride - and glad I did.  From what I read it was a major cheese fest.  LOL  Oh well, they can't all be winners.  Now I'm attempting The King's Mistress by Terri Brisbin.

I guess I'd better get all my Briggs and the others lined up before I start so I don't end up at Border's re-buying after I get started!

I guess I'm sticking with Dark Light by Jayne Castle for now..kinda hard to get into anything tonight but I've been enjoying this series and I also found out that previous characters do show up in the other books though not all of them and some not very long since the main story is about one couple. This one has a phone call with Cooper from book 3(Ghost  Hunter and one of my fave heroes so far!) but don't know if he'll show up any more. The last book had the guild boss from the first 2 books along with Emmett and Lydia from the first 2 books and a brief scene with Cooper and whats her name! (I keep forgetting their names)

I just finished Irresistible by Susan Mallery.  I just love her books!

Taking another break from romance to read The Raven and the Nightingale by Joanne Dobson.  I think I will go back and forth between these two series for awhile.  It will probably take me to the end of the month, maybe less.

Elizabeth's Wolf got pushed to the side again as Shoot To Thrill by P.J. Tracy  arrived Saturday morning.  I've had my nose stuck in that every moment that I could read and finally got to finish it.

Has anyone here read it?  I don't want to leave spoilers around but if anyone would want to p.m. me with your take on the ending I would appreciate it.  I thought I understood the last scene with Grace and Magozzi but then came the epilogue.  Now I'm confused or at least afraid that I am projecting what I wanted to happen into the situation.

I've only read Monkeewrench ..sorry! I also keep pushing aside Elizabeth's Wolf and that's one of the ones I wanted to read in the first place but I started at the beginning then got sidetracked with other stuff..right now still reading Dark Light by Jayne Castle..have at least 3 other books practicaly screaming at me but think I may go ahead with Obsidian Prey to finish out the series before I go to something else.

okey dokey! FInished Dark Light by Jayne Castle! Pretty good though I got some charactes confused near the end...not sure I ever really figured out who some were either! oh well. I guess next up is Obsidian Prey..think it's the last in the series. Is this series done with this one or is she still writing it ? anyone know? guess if it's done I'll catch up on some other books then probably go to the Arcane Society books and catch up on some of her Amanda Quick and other titles I've missed.

I finished Tempt Me If You Can by Janet Chapman.  I was disappointed.  Her books are usually a solid read for me, not necessarily outstanding but always worth it.  This one was borderline for me.  The whole romance between Ben & Emma seemed so... disjointed.  The plot was good and the mystery aspect of the book was well done.  The second half was way better than the first, but definitely not my favorite.

I'm going back to Lori Foster's Visitation series and starting The Secret Life of Bryan.

I spent the weekend slogging through Bond of Blood (Texas Vampires, Bk 1) by Diane Whiteside. I'm over halfway through, and it's only now starting to get interesting.

Susanna, she is still writing the series, she has Midnight Crystal coming up as a part of the Dream Light Trilogy,  Past(Burning Lamp)/Present(Fired Up/Future(Midnight Crystal, Harmony). I don't think she is going to stop beatin this dead horse anytime soon.

Finished Eclipse Bay, I really enjoy her older books. I'm trying to resist getting in my car and driving to the library to get the other two. I have no idea what's next, I downloaded a sample of a bugman book so I need to see if it's something I'll like.

Which sample on Bugman did you get Rebecca? I love every single one of them and TD cannot write them fast enough.

ETA: I know what I will be reading tomorrow. Shannon K Butcher's Running Scared comes out tomorrow. I will be at Border's in the morning standing at the glass, chanting open, open, open.

I believe it's the first two combined into one book. It sounds like something I'd like and I'm ready for a book that's hard to put down.
