New week!

I finished Liz Carlyle's The Bride Wore Scarlet. I don't care for the title, but I loved the book! See my review on Goodreads. I love that we have a romance of children of two of her prior books. No True Gentleman and Three Little Kisses. You don't have to read those books to read this one, I just like having the background. Can't wait for the next one in the series.

I finished This Side of the Grave by Jeaniene Frost. I liked it, but not as good as others in the series. I'm currently reading The Drigon's Fall by Heather Holland.

Is This Side of the Grave the 4th one? that one was a bit slow for me too til closer to the end.if it's the 4th be sure you read the 2 from her 'world' series before the last book out - there are spoilers big-time and I didn't know this until I was reading it (luckily I don't mind spoilers but some do)

I'm reading First Drop of Crimson by Jeaniene Frost - the one I should've read as book #5! It's pretty good but creeping me out dealing with a demon - I'd rather stick to vampires but oh well guess that's why it's 'vampire huntress world' went to libary for this and the sequel then last night this came available on ebook so I'm reading it that way instead of the paperback -easier on the eyes and hoping the next book comes available today so I can transfer it to the ereader...

This SIde of Grave is the 5th book. The 4th one was Destined for an Early Grave. I didn't like the spin-off books as much as the books in her regular series.

Just finished Full Moon Rising (Riley Jenson, Guardian, Bk 1) :: Keri Arthur which was a good book with lots of action BUT - major spoilers ahead (highlight to read)

if you don't mind your main female character doing the dirty with multiple partners (not menage - that I do like). She was no sooner leaving one man's house and on her cell making a date for later that night with a different man. Then it turns out that the men that she was screwing were the bad guys. The so called "love interest" wasn't that much into her as a person but she was ok to have sex with.

Just turned me off of the characters.

I just finished Kaki Warner's Pieces of Sky. It was just what I needed. I was in the mood for a western and it hit the spot. I really got invested with the characters and cant wait to read the rest of the trilogy.

read Descending Darkness by Devyn Quinn. Was really good, but, not what I would consider a romance at all. Def more of an urban fantasy.

Still having trouble with The Wicked Wickerly. It seems like I should love it, but it's just not grabbing me.

I'm still reading First Drop of Crimson by Jeaniene Frost - I like it ok bu the demon stuff still bothers me and thanks to not reading it between books 4 and 5 of the Cat and Bones books I know kinda how it ends...I really don't like demons..too close to reality I guess though I can't say I've ever seen one..

took a brief break and got a couple of erotic type free ebooks from all romance e books I think it was - I had some 'cash' in my account there as well and bought Lorelie James' Cowgirls Don't Cry(didn't read this one) read 2 short under 20 page downloads. one was pretty hot but not my usual cuppa tea.

I played catch up the last two days.

DNF'd the second story in a duo by Debbie Macomber called Fairy Tale Weddings.  The first story was ok, which I read a few weeks ago, even though it was seriously dated.  The second story was too incredible to believe, so... dnf.    I read Pleasure with Purpose by Lisa Renee Jones and God knows why I finished it - it was too cheesy for me.  The Cowboy and The Thief by Lora Leigh - also another eye roller, even for LL, and a dnf.

Then I picked up and devoured Tied Up, Tied Down by Lorelei James.  What a great story.  Part of her Rough Riders series and is Kade's story.  Yummy (two syllables!)   Will probably read another Lorelei  James book tonight in that series.

Sherri, I read Pleasure with Purpose today too and I totally agree with you. There was one line that had me thinking huh?!?  " Tickets for two to Paris for an authentic Italian meal....." Really?? I'm glad it was a free ebook.

I also read another freebie, Love in Bloom by Karen Rose Smith. I liked this one better.

Reading Get Lucky by Suzanne Brockmann, what a cheesy cover but really enjoying it. Listeining to Linda Howard's Dream Man. Also pretty good - can't wait ti drive to work just to hear more.

I ended up DNFing The Drigon's Fall by Heather Holland. The dialogue was terrible and I didn't care about what was happening. I'm currently reading Raising Kane by Lorelie James.

Trish, Get Lucky was one of my fave SB books. :)

I'm reading Burning Up and have been since Thursday. I was up in Erie for a three-day vacation, and despite my best interests, I didn't get a lot of reading done. But I'm reading and enjoying the Meljean Brook story now.

I just finished reading Stop Dragon My Heart Around which was a cute erotica about Dragon shifters.  I need to read Dirty Deeds by Lorelei James for a swap and it does look good, but I am very tempted to read Strangers by Barbara Elsborg which I have been wanting to read since it came out.  I love her writing and want to see how a book that starts out with both h/h trying to commit suicide ends with an hea.

still reading First Drop of Crimson by Jeaniene Frost..pretty good but I still hate the demon stuff..sigh...also read some erotic romance I got from all romance ebooks - one was a free short story then the main book..sheesh..not my usual with the bdsm kinda stuff - more like mind control..embarrassed to admit it was kinda hot blushConrad's first girl and Abduction I think was the other title..sheesh..

also started JAK's Absolutely Positively - don't recall reading this one but I probably have a long time ago - using it for the beta hero challenge on RT and think I'll like it - just too addicted to Jeaniene Frost right now but only have one more of those to go unless I find the other short stories she did.

Willa the free short short one was Conrad's First Girl then the other is a longer book - think it's called Abduction..it's by the same author. felt kinda weird reading it..the guy is controlling and has her doing stuff to herself and him that she ends up liking but it's kinda humiliating..the longer book has her running from the guy and then going through all kinds of scenarios in her mind...I guess it's mild for those used to this but I'm used to the hot books with more affection but something 'bout this caught my eye - maybe in a sick kinda way LOL!

Just finished Edge of Sight by Roxanne St Claire (Guardian Angelinos Bk 1). I thought it was really good. I liked both the hero & heroine. There is a connection to The Bullet Catchers but it is explained, it's not necessary to have read that series. I'm looking forward to reading the next 2 Guardian Angelinos books which, luckily, I already have.

Just finished Robyn Carr's Harvest Moon....wasn't my fav or the series. Didn't like Kelly too much and she wasn't a person i would trust for the long haul. Loved Lief though and Courtney was a typical 14 year old...got one just like her...anybody wanna trade? :-) But Kelly isn't as bad as Vanni was....oye!

Downloaded that story Susanna... $8 for the next one. You know what they say, it's free at first. ;-)

Am finally feeling into The Wicked Wickerly and will maybe actually finish it. Have been decluttering more than reading and I'm way behind. Lots of crap out of the house though!

I thought thenext one was udner $4..oh well..it's different than anything I've read- kinda mental stuff I guess and more erotic than a romance for sure.

finished First Drop of Crimson by jeanine Frost - liked it but the heroine was abot TSTL near the end though I sorta understood how she felt but still..she was lucky to live IMO...now trying to decide between the next Frost book or Absolutely Positively by JAK...

NOBODY could be as bad as Vanni!!

Branded as Trouble by Lorelei James.  Meh.  I love this series but I didn't  really think this was up to par.  Colt was a good guy - he's obviously reformed.  India I didn't think "fit" him.

Now I'm reading Storm's Heart by Thea Harrison.
