I couldn't sleep last night so finished Flash by Jayne Ann Krentz. This was a good one! I like pretty much all her stuff but this one was a good read.

I'm thinking I'll start The Cowboy's Sweetheart by Brenda Minton next.. A love Inspired by one of my favorite authors and part of the series I like. I also have JAK"s Eclipse Bay trilogy in the lineup as well.

Started Patricia Brigg's Iron Kissed, because I have no will power. So far it has just as good as the first two. Some authors are just uber-talented.....yeah me. :-)

I broke down and bought a Large Print copy of The Passions of Emma by Penelope Williamson.   Interesting.  The first few chapters sure don't read like a Romance novel.  It is much more than that.

Also started the Desperate Duchesses series.  I realize I have read a couple of them out of order.

I'm reading The Wives of Bowie Stone by Maggie Osborne.  Thanks to all the people who had suggested reading her in other threads : she is good!

Waaaaah...I finished the Hathaway series by Lisa Kleypas mid-week.  I then read BLACKWOLF'S REDEMPTION by Sandra Marton.  Egads, you'd think I would learn my lesson.  HP's are NOT for me.  nofrown   The time travel premise was good but the rest, ack!

I have no idea what to read next.  I think it may be a while until I find anything to live up to the "Hathaways"   indecision

Man I was tired after work yesterday so I was in bed by 5 pm and sleeping! woke up starving at 4 so I guess I'm up now for the duration. parents are coming down again today so guess I wont' be coming home and going straight to bed though I imagine I'll be snoozing pretty quickly if I have to fall asleep on the couch! have to work til 7pm today. I did stay awake long enough to finish The Cowboy's Sweetheard by Brenda Minton, a Love Inspired. It was ok.I liked it but I think for those who like a lot of preaching, etc in their christian romance would be disappointed. It centers around an unwed pregnant woman who 'made a mistake'..kinda buggd me the only 'preaching' was pointing out that it was a mistake but oh well. I like this author and she touches on heroes/heroines who have dicey pasts or are dealing with handicaps, etc. I think this is the 2nd unwed mom story she's done.

thinking Eclipse Bay is up next though  may change my mind for something shorter/easier.

Good morning! I returned Saturday from a very non-fruitful vacation, reading-wise. You think you're going to get all this reading done (I think I took 6 books with me) and I barely finished one.

Well, before I left, I finished Simon Says (SBC Fighters, Bk 2) by Lori Foster, and really liked it.

For my week at the beach, I took along the first in the House of Night YA series, Marked by P.C. and Kristin Cast. I had a really hard time getting into it, but one of the teens who was along on the trip told me to stay with it, that the first book is the worst, but it gets so much better. Marked was the only book I read over the week, but this weekend I worked my way through most of Betrayed, and she's right, it does get better. :)

I also finished Claire Thompson's The Toy, which was pretty worthless.

I just finished Harker's Journey by NJ Walters and I'm trying to finish Cady's Cowboy by Jory Strong. I don't think I'm going to continue with the rest of the Crime Tells series.

Slow day at work my first day back, so I've finished Betrayed. The series is definitely beginning to pick up, though I don't like all of the decisions that the main character, Zoey, is making.

Now on to Chosen (House of Night, Bk 3).

I was on vacation last week and managed to read the first 3 of the Lone Star Sisters series by Susan Mallery.  I'm on the last one now.  They're ok.  The problem is, I'm seeing the same family dynamic that I saw in the Buchanans series, meaning the evil matriach (in the Buchanans)/patriarch (this one) and I have a sinking feeling that this one is going to end up the same as the Buchanans, which is an unfathomable change of heart and complete reversal of the evil patriarch.  That ruined the Buchanans for me, because I just don't think people can change like that.  I keep hoping that the patriach will stay evil, but I'm guessing not- I'm sure there will be the same disgusting redemption for him that there was for the grandmother in the Buchanans and I will be disappointed that Susan Mallery yet again couldn't resist the sappy ending in favor of keeping in real.

After this, I'll be reading the new Kristan Higgins, All I Ever Wanted.

I'm reading Slow Heat in Heaven by Sandra Brown, a book I've had in my TBR for ages. It's actually pretty good...very believable characters and interesting story. So far the only problem I have is that there's a lot of evil people sex! Evil sister with evil brother in law sex, evil banker with evil skank sex, criminal evil guy abusive sex...and there's more! Yes, there are a lot of villains in this book, LOL!

Oh, I hate the evil people sex! I'm avoiding that one.

okey dokey avoiding slow heat...major ick factor for me!

I'm still reading Eclipse Bay.wish I weren't on day shift or I'd  probably been done by now! wink parents are at my house so doubt I read any tonight unless I read a few minutes before bed but I probably couldn't put the book down if I sat for more than 10 min with it..thanks to lunch and 2 popcorn breaks I've made it a ways so far! I got these 3 from the library in large print to save my eyes a bit! so should be easier reading. not sure I'll read them back to back but I'm sure thinking about it plus all 3 would finish up the RT challenge for me!

Then they get bad again lol I gave up on that series, it was turning into a teen version of Anita Blake to me

Wow, SLOW HEAT IN HEAVEN - been wanting to read that one for years. That's the book with the scene where he tells her "hang on it's going to be a rough ride" or something like that?

I was off/on home this weekend but did read the new Tess Gerritsen, ICE COLD, which I really enjoyed though I usually don't care for books with cults in them, or stalking. I'm looking forward to - or rather hoping she moves in a new direction with Lily & Anthony, I was glad to see them in this book. I have 2 Rachel Gibsons waiting for me at the library (the prequels to TANGLED UP IN YOU).

Aw, Willa. Even evil people deserve to unwind now and then. At least they're doing it with each other.

IIRC, there was a lot of skanky sex in the book, by the villains or otherwise. The book should have been called SKANKY SEX IN HEAVEN.
