I'm reading Uncharted, the sequel to On the Island. I love that she found an actual story to tell instead of just some lovey-dovey epilogue.

I read so many awesome new books in July, but all my August books are sucking!  Read new Sarah Morgan, Lost to the Desert Warrior -- it was pretty good but could've used more grovel. Everything else has been dnf. :-(

Willa I feel your pain.  July was a horrible month for reading for me.  August hasn't been great either.

Reading Galean Foley's My Ruthless Prince and I have probably missed a couple in the series, I am missing some backstory. I finished SA's book and it was a good solid read. I really liked Max and the set up for the next couple looks interesting. Another unknown half-brother, man the father was so weird the way he did his sons. Wish we got some reasoning behind that.

carrying over from last week's thread:

Finishing up Rapture by JR Ward. I love her original series, so I thought I would like this one. Unfortunately her Angel series, in my opinion isnt' as good. Although, I have read them all so far.

me too, i finished Rapture a few hours ago.  with that series it always takes me forever to get into each book, like 60 pages in 4 hours last night as i kept picking it up and putting it down, and then it just clicks and i'll slam through the rest of the book.  knowing that the book is just going to drag at the start leaves me wondering if i want to read the next one, but so far i keep picking them up eventually (fortunately, the library gets them).

Man, I love a good free book. I've stopped and started several but I've settled on a re-read of The Gamble by KA.

Read a freebie last night. Only Love Survives by Renee Charles.  Another reviewer said it best - This was like a harlequin novel with zombies!

Just finished Jo Goodman's Wild Sweet Ecstasy and I liked it so much I am going to pick up the rest of the series. Set in the west about 25 years before the turn of the century, where woman were just beginning to make heavy rumbles about their rights and their place in a man's world. Although that wasn't the focus of this book, I still really liked it and the timeframe.

That always happens to me, Melissa.  Poor old paper books!

I'm still slumpy. Have about 10 books started.

reading Christine Feehan's 5th Carpathians book - think it's Dark Challenge - really need Cliff Notes for these! find myself skimming - don't love them but something keeps me wanting to read the next story....

also just started The Chocolate Thief - has my attention so far which is bad 'cause I'm at work and it's day shift LOL! had to make myself put it down...

Geez - I haven't been over here in ages! Finished up The Assignment by Evangalne Anderson and Effortless by SC Stephens. Pretty good, but I didn't like Effortless as much as Thoughtless. Even though Thoughtless was a little disturbing to me, it was super intense and I did enjoy the read. Started Real by Katy Evans this morning.  Almost late for work - started out intense and pretty interesting!

Tonya: I loved Real, I can't wait for the next one.

i finished up The Gamble and now I'm almost done with a re-read of Sweet Dreams, both by Kristin Ashley. I've just been in the mood for her after reading all of the Rock Chick series again. I'm gearing up for Tuesday when RC Revolution comes out.

Still feeling kind of slumpy. Trying to take a break from review books and just enjoy some old favorites. Also reading -- gasp! -- a print book! Finally found Goodnight Tweetheart at the UBS. It's very cute and funny.

I'm working my way thru Thrown By A Curve by Jaci Burton.  I'm not much for sports but, dang, I love that series.

I bought Wicked Beat by Olivia Cunning yesterday on my ereader.  I also love that series.  Can't hardly put it down.

Started three books, Gena Showalter's Last Kiss Goodnight, Catherine Anderson's Indigo Blue and Shana Galen's The Spy Wore Blue. I finished Dan Brown's Inferno and found that it was a disturbingly good book. The history aspect made my eyes glaze over a bit, but still a good read.
